Player's to stay away from!

Has anybody bought really expensive players and once you got them in your team, they play crap?

The one's who i found a big disappointment was Recoba, Raul, Vieri and Beckham!

I bought a few 'classic' team players, zico etc. He's got amazing stats but he doesn't to be as good as others in my team. It can be down to the position you play them but i'm sure you put them in their correct positions.

Simple, it was Deco who can't control the ball when his team-mate passes the ball to him! I thought Recoba is the great player, Raul is fine player, but Beckham, maybe only good at Free-Kick and Penalty, Vieiri, good at left-foot strike.

i found beckham dead fast and good crosser of the ball, i think its cos he has light boots or whiteish boots, at least he did in pes 2 why do white boots make a player seem faster than he is actualy running. is it an optical illusion.

I once bought Shevchenko and he was absolute beans so I sold or traded him at the next opportunity. Recoba is in my ML and he's a tiger down the left midfield, good crosser with tons of assists and gets a few goals. I think sometimes it comes down to your tactics, some players are bobbins, but if you tweak your tactics/strategy they respond by playing better.

I find that you have 2 experiment in training with different positions. Having bought Rivaldo, he was playing crap so I changed his position and trained with him, and made sure he scored at least 5 goals in every training session. (As i do with the other strikers and attacking midfielders) It seems to work.

As for the white boots thing, it's a total mind set but it does seem that they run faster lol

I thought that Deco is alright in the game, unlike in real life, where he's not!!

The biggest disappointment was Trezguat(sp) i found him very useful at first but as I went on to win more tropy's in the ML i found him strugglng to keep up with my current squad of youngsters!

Flops - Gronkjaer, De La Crus, Van Hooijdonk, Desailly, Buffon, Martins

Class - Ibrahimovic, Hildegrand, King, Deco, Simao, Nakamura, Eto'o.

i bought beckham once just to use him for free kicks, and i played him as a winger on the right in the forward line

but he ended up scoring and setting up ALOT of goals especially on the counter and became my best player

my biggest disappointments would have to be Kewell and Shevchenko because i expected them to be as good as Maradonna and Pele combined, but it didn't happen

i think it's all about your expectations
