I don't think you can play it online when it is patched.
Plus people could patch their player data onto the disk to cheat. Just use the original like everyone else?

you can play a backup online, a lot of people are playing ps5 in south america e north america online...you have to put the right dns and have the right playstation!!. some ntsc ps2 can go online with ps5 without the dnas error but some of them gives you error 833, regional setings.
i have that problem..im thinking in buying a new ps2 slim...in some forums people say it works with some slim ps2 models.
anyway if anyone knows more about this plsz tell us.....waithin 4 or 5 more months to have we9i its not right!!!

if you have a ntsc ps2 then you need to change the machine id to play the pal version online, if you patch the game then you also need to patch it with the disc id to pass the dnas check

the game always uses the default database for online games so it's impossible to cheat, once a database editor is released it should be possible to play with edited teams/stats but i'm not sure what would happen if people are using different databases

edit: since i posted this dkz studio 0.90 has been released with a pes5 database editor, just having a play with it now

You need to patch your patched ISO with a disc ID insertor. It takes so long there is no point to do it. Search on google something like "playing back up online ps2"

use windip to patch the disc id, it directly patches the iso so there's no need to extract & import the dnas file and only takes a few seconds

i've already fixed the database so all teams and player names are correct online, there's a link to it in the downloads section in the fishcake mix v1 thread

a mate also edited all stats on one team to 99, and got disconected whenever he tried to start a game so there's no way to cheat

i've edited a couple of stats by 1 point and it works ok so i think it could be possible to make a patch using something like PLF's data update or maybe an english clubs patch that overwrites the other teams and works online

i'm currently doing all the transfers and changing formations and stuff so i'll try it online later today and see what happens
