I agree that it would be a good idea for ranked games with random teams would be a good idea.
Grade all teams A-F for example and then the grade and teams picked at random, genius idea!
Then all player games, play as whoever you like!
These Adriano, Eto, Henry loving losers would be about as much cop as a drunk budgie then!
Anyway, don't these saddos get bored of spending every evening doing the same thing, running down the wing with Adriano and cutting the ball back to score? Are they robots?

When someone plays as barca they usually have messi and etoo on the wings and even the average players can rip your full backs to shreds. It annoys me when you tell them to pick someone else and they'll be like no who cares anyway. And then you'll reply cos they are the best team and then the usual reply is well you go them as well. Eh sorry no.
Going barca all the time and winning more often than not doesn't make u a great pro evo player. Sometimes i find myself just going barca just to show them how shite they really are but i dont ever feel the urge to go barca now.
Maybe a good tactic in future games would be to ban users from using the same team multiple times depending on rank. For example if someone ranked 20000th or less goes barca then they should be prevented from going them again for 5-10 games, it would piss folk off but would make it fairer.

Agree so much with the posters on this thread, it pisses the fuck out of me when they choose barca, so ever time i play a ranked game I put up and room called "no barcelona or brazil" and then wait for an opponent, and if theyve used barca or brazil more than 3 times in their last 5 games I reject them.. seems to work, have the occasional twat who still chooses barca, so i just quit out.
One thing that annoys me about quitting out, is when you do that, you have to restart the game, would be better if u had a quit game option, and it went straight back to the lobby rather than going completely out of the game.

Cheers guys, I didn’t realise that it would get so hot. I have played a few Inter Milans now as well. Nearly beating them but for some reason when I pass the ball out of defence the screen wobbles and the ball ends up in the back of my own net with that prick Adriano running off celebrating????? Is that my connection or theirs? Anyhow, I will continue to play with the lads in ranked games, I’ve climbed to 3b now so I’m getting there.
As for the private rooms, I only have the choice of 3, so let me know when you guys are online. Thank you again for the responses, all of you who have given it up - get back online and push these bastards out!!!!

ye i just playing barca now. it the 10th TIME i played them i newcastle cause i mixing teams

Picking a team that is similar to your opponent is merely good sportsmanship - to try and create a fairly level playing field.
So when someone picks Barca, completely disregarding the fact that you've picked Blackburn, it just screams of insecurity. Sometimes I almost feel so sorry for the guy that I'm pleased if he wins so that he feels that tiny bit better about himself.
Now on the other hand I believe that if you were a true pro at this game you SHOULD be able to beat someone that is Barca when you are, say Newcastle. Its almost like a handicap system.

Yeah , it's true everyone picks barca or inter. I NEVER pick barca just because i am no good with it. So my solution was this: pick your team (mine manU) and change your formation so that the strong points of barca will disappear. When i mark eto'o or henry with Ferdinand they usually don't hit the ball. Also let your wingers fall back so that the speed on the flanks is countered. What i also have found out is when you play counter-attack against barca , they have it really hard!!

It hacks me off when you realise Konami dont give two shits about the consumer, they just rely on us buying the "latest version" of a game that we cant be without.
I hate how people stand on my defenders at goal kicks.
I hate how people hang over a crap team, wait for you to select a crap team and then go Barca .......woooo didnt see that happening.
I also hate how they probably play barca every game, but dont need to worry about bookings, stamina because it doesnt carry on to next game.
I also hate how simply crap the online service is, its so jerky and slow, sometimes im running with the ball and then for no reason at all the ball is with an opposition player at the other end of the pitch.
I hate the way "chat" is set up. Apart from the fact you can only say what Konami allow you to say during a game, the actual chat box is hidden away on the RS button. But if someone is typing something in there how do i know?? They could of at least made it flash when someone was trying to chat.
But worst of all about chat is that on PES2006 you could type on keyboard during game, not anymore. And i bet its because they Konami are lazy bastrds who just thought "well there is no keyboard on a console, can we be arsed doing 5 minutes of work to allow the keyboard to work just for pc owners? Nah, lets not bother, fuck em. Hey and lets keep the control pads as the ones for the Xbox, even though its a pc game"

Ive decided to take the plunge and go to the darkside, im buying Fifa08. And if it plays better online than pes2008 then i will dump PES for good, im fed up being treated like crap by Konami because i have pc and not a console.

Had that the other day
Some guy beat me 3-1 and i dominated him whole game but just couldnt score. He was Ac i was chelsea. Drogba missed 5 good chances in first half and i should have had a pen but the comp thought it would give me advantage instead even though the ball ended up in a position where i had no advantage Grrrrr
I spoke to him afterwards and he refused to see he was lucky. I complemented him on his finishing cos he scored all his chances and he said he was better than me in every way, i was infuriated. So played him again with Juventus and destroyed the dick he he. Made no mistake with trezeguet ha ha

I love it when you are down abot 2-0 at half time and some little infant on the other child is giving it the "hahaha" or the "Im Sorry". Then you turn on the style in the second half and demolish them. Imperative at this point to just give them "Im Sorry" back at the very end. I can imagine the little shits on the other that have just made a fool of themselfs are Infuriated!!!
the main problem online against super teams is the occasional lag/jolt which makes it nigh on impossible to tackle, and if i have to play against barca/inter one more time i will scream!
i only wanna use united but face no choice in terms of the rankings againts these 1 man teams
also does any1 kno how to change what you say to people online, i only have the defaults but people say all random stuff to me

I am not sure what the menu is called off the top of my head, but , when you first log into the network mode, connect to lobby etc. you should be on the screen saying ranking match , Friendly match etc etc.
On this screen there is a menu possibly called " network options"? and in here you can change the sayings, however you can still only select from around 20 preset ones, you cant type your own custom messages.
