Playing Out of Position

I'm on my second season now and Ive just signed for AZ (Dutch team). I'm AMF but their formation has no AMF's so I get put into CF and it brings my stats down from 60 to 39 and now I play like crap. So i'm asking will I learn the CF position if the team keeps putting me in that position? and how long will it take? Thanks.

Yes you'll learn how to play as a CF. It'll take around 10 weeks.

How do I know if i'm in the process of learning it? Or can't it be seen?

Edit - Damit now ive been put on the left wing, is this good?

Unfortunately you can't see your progress. As soon as you'll receive ability to play on new position, your stats will raise and you'll be able to see it in "player info".

But yes, your abilities drop when you're player out of position, but remember, it just makes you a better player being able to play different spots on the picth!
