Playing players out of position?

Here is something I've been wondering for years. If I have a guy who is a 80 AMF, but a 73CMF does it really matter if I play him at CMF? Does that player become worse when I put him in a spot like CMF that is literally 3 yards from the AMF position?

I've always wondered this when moving CF's to SS and midfielders to different mid positions.

PES15 doesn't seem to be too flexible when it comes to adjusting your formation. No matter how far up I move the CMF position it never changes to an AMF and the same is true for other positions like trying to change a CMF to a DMF.

• CHOOSE MANUALLY>>
• PRESET TACTICS>>
• EDIT POSITION>>
• Highlight Player with Pointer
• PRESS THE 'X' Button (Square if on PS)>>
• Choose position
• VOILA**PROFIT**

Alternatively, press the help button when in the GAME PLAN, and read all the info there. The one you're looking for is 'Selecting player roles'.
