apart from the likes of pirlo who i might not be able to afford who would be good to get.

i have looked at Alonso, Carrick, Motta, De la pena

i want to get alonso, has anyone any other suggestions?

i wouldnt exactly recommend him since there are better... as you have mentioned.... but nasri isnt that bad.... nor is he that expensive.
not a bad buy.

Ballack is ok for me. He can pass and shoot and his body balance allows me to mow down robiniho and co.

Taarabt! Despite not being that good at headers in general, he scores 6 or 7 headers a season from corners for me...and he's overall very well rounded.
