Really not true. As the guy said hes in Isreal, not exactly a great connection area. Instead of blaming the game how about you actually ask him some basic questions and try to help him. Oh wait no, to tough, just troll instead.

@OP;

First of all, which version are you playing? PC/PS2/PS3/360 ?
Secondly whats your internet connection speed and type (eg 512k Cable etc)
If you have a wireless connection or you use a router try disabling/bypassing them and use a direct connection.

Just go down your local electronic shop and buy a Ethernet lead (if you don't have one already). If your not sure what to do, use Google. But its very straight forward.

Just plug your Ethernet cable into your modem then PC, job done. Using a Ethernet Cable doesn't require you to install stupid CD's that your ISP provide... That's only for wireless and USB cables.

So its improved slightly...

You said you bought the game in Paris, is that where you are at the moment? I know you said your from Israel, just want to clarify.

If your in Israel, you have to remember your playing the EU version, and most of the others players your playing against are from the EU.

The only other thing you can do to narrow this problem down is play another person from Israel, see how the connection is then?

You obviously have never played many games online then have you. There are well over thousands of threads in almost every single game that has online capabilities with people having router/wireless issues. Not to mention ISP's who shape traffic or block specific ports etc etc. Think CoD4 is immune? Think again, go have a look at the forums for it and your gauranteed to find someone with connection issues.

Sure blame Konami, its easy when your ignorant of the facts.

@OP; So youve got it up to 5 mins now before disconnect? That sounds a bit like packet loss to me. Ive head talk of changing the MTU for PS3 internet might help with that.

I've played against wireless players on COD4 and it doesn't lag much for YOU, it lags more for the opposing player. When you get a lag spike its nothing for you, for the other player you teleport halfway across the screen.

Another thing you should take note of when comparing CoD4 to PES... CoD4 users can host their own dedicated server, PES? No, its all ran through one big server. You need to get your facts right first.

CoD4 is not p2p, PES is.

COD4 online works, PES2008/2009 doesn't. none of my mates complain about lag when we're all playing in the same game. cant see why you're defending PES2009 online. it doesn't work. i love pes games always have, the ps3 versions are poor.

Do you not understand? If you want to compare both games ONLINE they work in completely different ways. Learn how they work then you will see.

CoD4 - You have dedicated servers NOT owned by the company, they are hosted by users.

PES - The servers ARE owned by the company, you create a slot on their server (making a room).

Both games work online, so saying PES doesn't work online is a false statement. Peer 2 Peer requires all 3 parties to connect to each other, that's you, your opponent and the server. If there is a problem with one of those you will have a problem.

Who cares how a game works online? You obviously, or you would be comparing 2 games that have no relevance to one an other.

You my friend seriously have a screw missing...

Can players pull out weapons in PES??? Damn I must of missed this... Stop comparing the games when you have completely nothing to compare them with!

Your making no sense whatsoever.

PES works online for 90% of all the people that have bought it. It might lag for them, but it works. I have no problems with PES online, been playing it most of the day.

In the ps3 version u can actually assign the port u want to use in the system settings area :O

so try choosing ur own port and opening that up in ur router.
