if the player doesnt have a special face , what do i do with the downloaded face as i dont know what to replace it with?

there are plenty of unusefull faces in you afs ,
there are faces of players who already have a special face and you can use the slot of the normal faces .
there are also a lot of unused faces for y palette as there are faces for winning eleven j league with japanese players in it and as all the japanese players in pes5 have a special face you can then use all the slots of japanese normal faces (don't replace the coreans , they have no special face) .
is it clear ?

yeh i understand , are the unused japanesed ones the ones before the models of drogba,essien and that or the ones after most of the white faces?

Also what about hair of players who dont have faces , i dont know if the one im replacing is used or not

yes , did you see the faces in we10 ? riquelme is done on r palette . it's high time for them to add somme palettes , everyone will agree .
