Is it possible to have a thread that talks only about what people are enjoying about the game.;)

I for one feel this is the best PES game since 2006 and probably one of the most fun Football games I have played.
The core game play elements are solid and the AI is challenging enough to make scoring goals satisfying. I also love the close ball control – helps with slow build up play and it makes beating a player reliant on skill rather than speed.

It’s not perfect but for what it’s trying to achieve I believe it’s a great game.

did you say the same thing few days after pes2012 was released ? I know I did , then found it's awful , I did it again few days ago (about pes2013) , and started to feel I'm somehow wrong (i.e pes2013 was overestimated before release...:( sad but true)

I think most people thought it PES12 was a vast improvement on PES11.
But this game for me feels more fun and more challenging as far as the ML is concerned.

We can't all like the same things, but for me this game is great.

There aren't any!

IMO:

This game has the same 2 positives it had in 2008, and the same 200 negatives that it had in 2008. It's just another shitty cover up job on a broken and antiquated PS2 game disguised as a next gen footie sim.

A disgrace to football.

Maybe I should have titled the thread - "positives only". There are plenty of threads to gripe about what people don't like but plenty of people like the game and might want to discuss what is does well;)

That would be a short thread. Go to any Pes forum and all you'll hear are complaints. There isn't much positive about it. CL? That was in the last game...Copa? We're not brazilian and don't care about that league...ML not everyone likes or plays it, and the people that do say it's been destroyed. Online? People play online but mostly play offline. Cups? Who cares?? League mode (that almost everybody plays) What league mode??? BAL Isn't important to most and not a reason to buy the game. Gameplay? Is alot better, but what's the point? Pes this year is like having a great car with no engine. Ok so start your ''Only Positive Thread''.

Let's try to keep this thread for only positive remarks about the game. If you don't think there are any then don't post in here; post in one of the many threads that are critical of PES.

A positive I've found is that the AI don't always play the perfect ball, in comparison to Fifa. Not a great deal better in this respect but the perfect passing from the Fifa AI always annoyed me and it doesn't seem as perfect in PES.

Finally someone who speaks my language.

I have said this over and over in multiple threads....until they change the game engine from the old PS2 engine, the game will not be able to truly advance.

This year, they made the pitch bigger and brought back overpowered shooting...thats it. All the other previous problems still exist.

On top of that, their lazy ass designers decided to remove a few core items of the game. They just could not bother....who the fuck cares they say.

Anyways some fans still like the game...but others are visibly losing their patience.

It is my opinion that Konami don't give a rats ass anymore about improving the game....especially when there are many fans saying its the best PES ever.

Just look at the title of this thread...are there really any positives?

almost everything in the game is amazing
it is the best game since 2008. 2011 was amazing too
the skills and fients are amazing, you can perform many tricks
volleyballs are nice, I scored 3 world class bicycle kick goals
shooting power is good, passing is improved, L1+triangle passes are nice
goalkeepers slightly improved

Well some positives that I liked:

- More smoother gameplay experience + a much better animation link (the jump from 1 animation to the other is way better than in Pes 12)

- Shooting goes where you want it. (NO MANUAL BS please. Manual does not belong in a game where it's trying to imitate something that revolves around team and PLAYER INDIVIDUALITY). Regular shooting however is impressive because it does have some player individuality. Example with Vucinic it's way easier to score a curled top corner placed shot than any other Juve player.

- Apart from obvious cheating, the AI does have some very nice moments.

- R2 dribbling. Although this is an area that needs work, it's an extremely promising start. Very interesting too and yes, with slow but good dribblers, the R2 is magical.

- The way the R2 can dictate pace is extremely nice.

I agree regarding the shooting - very solid and so reliant on the player, context and the stronger foot.

Don't like the assisted shooting, way too assisted. CPU decide practically where the ball goes.
