Pre Season Training - Yaaaaaawwwwwnnnnnn

Is it just me or do you dread the season ending, and the prospect of 8 weeks whatever of tiresome training just for the chance that Rooney might get an extra 1 shooting acc. wooooooo! It's good to level up your players, but my god it's dull getting there. I've been around that feckin' dribble course so many times, I see cones whenever I shut my eyes. I must have to do it 6-8 times a week, cos nobody wants shit dribblers do they? If only they had an auto train a la Rocky, so you could auto train your so-so players and level up slightly every time, and then manual train your gravy players and get more reward for it.
My suggestion for the next Pro Evo? Pro Evolution Soccer 3.5, take 3, and add the best bits of 4, and I think we'll pretty much have the perfect footy game, and add auto train!!

what does regulation condition actaully do, and how much do u have to train in off season to get good stats.

Regulate Condition during the season is very useful. Everybody should by now know that the arrows show what kind of form your player is on e.g. Down Arrow, Poor Form. Up Red Arrow, Brilliant Form. Having a horizontal green arrow means their stats stay the same. Up arrows increase their stats. Down do the opposite. Diagonals do the same but to a lesser extent.

Basically, Regulate Condition ensures that all your squad players have AT LEAST a green horizontal arrow or better.

I do it every week...

come on,if it was that easy then we all have players that are 99's, and waht would the point be then

Can't u just skip training at the end of the season and play pre-season friendlies? This is what I always did on PES 3 but I haven't had the chance to get that far on PES4 yet. Seemed to work for me.

[rant]I've given up on the ML in PES4. I stick to PES3 if I want Master League action.
Not only is the training a chore, but some of the re-born players have really mad stats. Especially the classic players. Matthews, for example has about 7 stats over 95 out of about 15 in the 90+ range.
They really screwed the ML up.
The only thing they messed up worse than ML is the free kicks. I actually dread being given a f/k. In PES3 I could score on average about 1 in 4 from inside 35m. In PES4 I'm on about 1 in 20 wherever the f/k is.[/rant]

Good point about the reborn players, I avoid buying them but I've had to buy Sensini and Di Canio cos of the way PES4 handles free transfers, the reborns are all I'm left with. They have mental stats like speed, but shooting acc. and dribble acc. on Di Canio are bobbins, so I'm forced to do the training to better my squad. If you finish the last game of your ml, and go straight to negotiations, search for players with 0 left on contract and their are pages of them. Just this weekend I saw Raul, Henry, etc all on O, but could I touch them, could I fook. As soon as the next week had passed, they'd all gone, who was I left with? A 29 yr old Phil Neville, best stat of 79.

lol yeah the training is shit, i only do it with very young players that are gonna sit on the bench. it seems pointless to me when you can just play a match.

btw - ive found free kicks brilliant. theyre so similar to PES3 unlike the transition in PES2 to PES3, plus you now have the option to tap it and drive!

Regulating Condition is so easy and efficient, you gurantee your players are going to play to an acceptable standard by kicking a ball around for 20 seconds. It's so much better than before when the form arrows where almost random

Aye, yeah the regulating condition is the only saving grace really.
You have to hold your hands up & accept that not everything Konami do is great. They screwed up in a big way with the ML this time. Anyone says they didn't has a high boredom threshold.
Fucking passing in a 4-man diamond.
For the 82nd time...
Aaaaarrrggghhhh!

the training is a good idea but poorly done. konami need to do some work on this (pes5?). Playing the game should be fun and the training isn't.

What's the point of making you do the 20 sec regulate condition? Mind you sometimes i will skip this if the players I want to play in the next match are showing red and/or yellow arrows as regulate condition will usually make things worse, it seems to me to just average out the condition of the squad.

I dont mind the regulating condition, i do it before every game but the pre-season training is looooong

I can handle the regulating training cos it's short n sweet, but it can work against if you have players on red form arrows and some on blue or whatever, you train and they all seem to level out, and some reds drop to green or yellow, like alanammo sez. But it's still a breeze compared to the torturous hours spent running round cones and passing in a diamond, auto train konami next time please!

I don't even bother training now, it's boring as hell and gets you very little in the way of results
