hey man, great to see another new face giving stat making some thought. GENERALLY your sets are pretty good, but there are certain areas I feel you have got slightly wrong. This could be to two reasons; 1) you dont have a COMPLETE knowledge and understanding of the player you are evaluating. 2) You havent yet developed an understanding of some of the stat mechanics, and the many effects they have in game.
You should maybe take a little bit more time evaluating and adjusting stats, even if its for the third or fourth time. Remember that one of the hardest things to achieve is the correct BALANCE between stats. You may find you have a high value in one area, but it is being affected by another low value. This can often happen, and so its about trying to find the correct combination of stats to portray many features, without sacrificing or misrepresenting another feature.
A final point would be your special stars. Make sure you really have got complete knowledge of the affects it will have assigning a certain star. For example you have given Peter Crouch a playmaking star. This is a very delicate star as it not only affects the player with it, but the players around him. It signifys a much greater prowess in picking out delicate through balls, and affects the movement of other players. You should be very careful handing it out, and only to players you know consistently create things for their team. Players like Pirlo, Deco, Lampard.
Like I said though its good to have you onboard and as a fellow stat editor, will check your thread and see how your getting on. Feel free to PM me if you would like to have more indepth discussions on stat mechanics, and keep up the good work. I will shortly be posting up Peter Crouch stats with a detailed analysis, so check up on that, and it help me highlight some of the finer points you may have misrepresented in your stats.
Cheers, Bagrunnell
