Pressuring and containment area

Hi guys (i am on PS4)

I got the PES 2016 yesterday, still familiarise with the new game.

My 2 questions are about pressuring and containment area in team instructions.

1: Aggressive and conservative for pressuring, which one is better and what teams should use aggressive and what teams should use conservative?

2: Center or wide for containment area, which one is better?

Hope you guys can help me, Admins, moderaters, gamers, any ideas? thanks in advance.

I Prefer conservative and wide. I prefer to pressure them out towards the corner flag and they end up running the ball out of play for a goal kick or try to cross the ball for me to clear it/the keeper catches it.

I use conservative and wide for every team.

Thanks for your information, I usually use conservative and wide myself too. Wondering what will happen if choosing aggressive and center?

Your understanding for team instructions is good.

A lot would depend on :-
1) The strengths of your team's players. eg If you have CBs who win everything in the air, but are a bit slow on the turn, you may be happier letting them cross the ball. If your CBs are swift and good tacklers, but not so dominant in the air, direct them to the middle - I'd ensure you have a solid DM if you're doing that though.
2) How the rest of your team is set up. eg If you are going to be aggressive and centre, don't play a high line or the opposition will just spam lofted through balls at you.
3) The opposition. eg If you're playing against Barcelona, you might be less worried about allowing crosses, since their amazing front line are least renowned for their heading abilities.

Thanks for sharing your views on this topic

So when I play top teams like Barcelona, maybe I should use Conservative and wide.... but on super star LV, I doubt if any tactics would work well, since Barcelona will surely score some indefendable scripted goals no matter what, its expected by me, because thats KONAMI's long time tradition.

If you play around with it, you'll soon get a feel for it. My usual preferred set up has the defenders play a defensive line of 4 distance from the goal line. This is usually a nice balance. Having them nearer the goal line often results in too many goal mouth scrambles and reminded me of when Roy Hodgson was in charge of Liverpool. But playing a high line opens you up to balls over the top.

Last night I played as Liverpool against Man Utd on Superstar and the AI kept spamming the lofted through ball. Dropping the defensive line to a distance of 3 from the goal and making the team more 'compact' sorted that one out.

I'm creating several pre-set formations to switch between via the DPad depending how matches are going.

If you're up for it, read this (click on this link) guide from klashman regarding various tactical settings for PES 2015. I believe the settings are unchanged this year.
You'll never be confused on these settings again.

Hi gamers

What pressuring and containment area tactics do you guys use when playing against top teams like Barcelona, R madrid, Bayer on Super star LV?

Any thoughts and anwsers will be much appreciated.
