Prestige mode for Master League Online

My biggest suggestion for MLO would be some sort of prestige mode, whereby after reaching a certain limit players are encouraged to reset their teams and start in division5 again.

Why would someone reset?
Make new players available at each prestige level. It could be something like this:

Start: Only players at in-game clubs are available

1st prestige: players in national teams but without a club become available (example: players from Schalke, HSV, 2nd divisions etc)

2nd prestige: classic players that are still active become available (example: Juninho, Van Nistelrooy, Beckham)

3rd prestige: classic players not at a classic team become available (example: Best, Hugo Sanchez, Schmeicel)

4th prestige: all classic team players become available (example: Maradona, Pele, Gullit)

The limit could be once you reach division 1 and have 75+ million worth in assets. By making it interesting to reset your team, it drastically increases the longevity of the game and it means you also see a lot less 100+ million teams.

great idea! although i'm against classic players. i think messi, ronaldo & co. are more than enough "cheat players" as i call them...

I can understand your frustration with star players but c'mon, I think too many of us here on the forums are complaining too much about these players. There are always going to be dominant players/weapons/tools/etc in any game. To label them cheat players is too far in my opinion.


Anyway, by users resetting their teams more often you will see less teams have Messi, Ronaldo and Arshavin as the team keeps resetting whilst those players' values keep increasing. So they can't buy them as easily as they can now.

I haven't played MLO for about 2-3 months now. As you can see in my signature, I have basically formed a super team and the level of fun rapidly decreases once you're at the top.

I know I could reset my team, but I don't feel thats the solution either. For starters, all the hard work goes down the drain and I lose the players' stats (ie appearances, goals, etc). Stuff like that should be kept in some sort of history book, you know like a database containing all the players that ever played for you.

Anyway thats slightly going off topic from my original idea. With a prestige system as suggested above, there would generally speaking always be something to play for. More players unlocked. Maybe extra customization options for your MLO team, like new kit options or change to bigger stadiums.
