Pro Evo 07 to be noticeably superior on PS3

To sum up, whether the blu-ray format will make PES the better game for it remains to be seen. But I can in fact say that the thread title statement is true before we've even played the game.

The reason?

Playing PES on anything other than a Playstation control pad just doesn't feel right.

Personal preferance I know but it's true for so many people.

360 PES will be a port of the PC version, the PC version is usually pretty great, one thing I am hoping for if the game does not have updated licences is for there to be a way to do it like you can on the PS2, creating option files for the Xbox 360! Playing the current 360 game as Tottenham, sorry, "North East London" sucks!

..that is real bulls*it. PS2 version was always the BEST one. Check with anyone else..

Default Re: Future Winning Eleven: PS3!!! discuss
Basically, keep an eye out for the World Hobby Fair in June.

New Winning Eleven (PES) is revealed to 23.06.07 18.05.07 - Konami becomes a new part of the soccer game series Winning Eleven (dt. “Pro evolution Soccer”) to 23.06.07 on the “26th new generation World hobby fair” present. That communicates Konami on its Website; the meeting is delivered up to 24.06.07 in Makuhari fair, Tokyo.

The fact remains; the extra storage space afforded by the blu ray media will mean that the PS3 version will (if anything)at the bare minimum have superior Hires textures when compared to that of the 360 version.

I predict barring a few things like superior stadia/crowd graphics/kit there will be no differences.

IMHO; PES 7 will be near enough identical on all formats barring the slight graphical differnces I have commented on; Konami wouldn't screw over PES fans on different formats; they want to sell as much as they can and they don't give a shit what console for; so extras and incentives for any console will not exist, unless a certain company has paid them quite a few wheelbarrows full of cash............as long as Konami make money, they win.

No, I actually work for a games testing company called Absolute Quality, the main testing company in Europe, based in Glasgow.

www.absolutequality.co.uk

And somehow being a quality tester makes you privy to information about a game that noone has seen or played before and whether it'll be better on the ps3 than the xbox 360

lmao

The series is known to make improvements very slowly, making minor changes every installment (and sometimes backtracking). Some fans often complain, but it's undeniable that Konami's football franchise delivers a great experience.

GameWave magazine lobbed a few details on their cover, and here's the list:

* Game will be released in multiple platforms (even on the PS3)
* Improved defense
* More realistic and changed dribbling animations
* 1 on 1 tackles and offside traps will have better results (controversial calls)
* Better online service, no lag
* Full HD support with 18GB storage

Just like the rumors on WE: Pro Evolution Soccer 6, this latest instalment is said to be at its best on the PS3, according to PlayStation Universe. Retailer Game claims that Konami licensed the entire Premiere League and the German League for its iteration on Sony's console. While still a rumor, it could be confirmed on June 23 when more info is out.

i dont think there will be a big difference between both versions cause it will be the games debut in the ps3, konami has to keep it level so they dont lose the xbox market although we all know the ps3 has the capabilities to be twice better than on the 360.

The next Pro Evo (pro evolution soccer 7) has finally cancelled out Fifa's trump card - Licences.

"The store manager showed me the document which they received to push pre orders, showing information on the biggest games upcoming in 2007.

Among reading through i come to Pro Evo and the following was on there,

All international teams fully licenced, F.A premier League licence, German League licence and international cup competitions licenced.

It also stated the it was to be released on Wii, PSP, DS, 360, ps2, PC and PS3. Strangely the PS3 version was listed as Pro Evolution Soccer 7 '1st team edition' and had alot more features and modes listed than any other version.

source http://n4g.com/News-40051.aspx

BTW, PS3 version pwns 360 version because of transfer options.

i cant see it costing much for names of competitions and the images of a cup tho, this should be the easiest thing to achieve.all we need is the option to edit cup names so we can change "international cup" to "FIFA World Cup" if thy cant get licenses for some reason.

it doesnt matter if there are 500 liscenced teams but all have the same feeling. it would be nice to see appropriate atmosphere for each league or at least the top leagues, and accurate commentry.

210,000,000.00 JPY = 870,570.122 GBP
Is that enough for all licenses, more game modes, game improvement, etc on PES7 to be better on PS3?

that money ($1.7million) is the money that sony are putting towards giving the already popular game an almighty marketing push. this game along with ninja gaiden sigma will get those PS3's in japan to fly off the shelves.
