It`s still way too early to talk about PES4. I mean with PES3/WE7/WE7:I (Korea, USA, Japan) coming out..Konami would need to take a long break, however there were some rumors that PES4 would have an online play.

Wouldn't it be beneficial for them to make a pes3 international like we7 int or something similar? It'd would give them more time for pes4 and some more money on the side.

Is it worth getting my ps2 chipped just for we7 int? I'm seriously thinking about it.

Yes, WE series are much better than PES ones.

Get a flip top. You can always go back, and don't have to worry about your chip becoming obsolete or frying your ps2 board. Makes your playstation look bad ass as well.

I didn't bookmark the site, but there's a site selling them for 15 bucks.

I´m not sure if WE7:I Jap works with the flip tops, there are a few people on evo-web which are posting that it does not.

NOT TRUE. It is proven that by properly installing a modchip will outlast any other playing method. I have a pre-modified console with DMS3 modchip and never had any problems with it, never. In fact my PS2 works even better, when everyone had stutter in WE7, I didn`t and some other people.

Slide Card is the 2nd best choice, IMO.

Thanks, is there a definitive answer as to whether we7:i will work with a flip top or not?

The answer is yes, thankfully. I checked out evo-web and found this in the threads:

"You can play DVD-Rips over 650MB on a flip-top. How you say? By using a disk called "Breaker Pro", which allows you to play full DVD-Rips on CD-R, imports, PS1 games.... "

Like I told Larsson, I don't remember his handle, but it's in the forums 'neath one of the we7:I or patch threads.

And besides I'm not exactly shitting money as we speak, so 15 bucks sounds much better than DMS = $60, Install = $50-100.

Not to mention I have yet to buy a dvdrom ($150) and a cd burner ($50-150).

Yes, but what happens when your PS2 dies ?? then you`ll have to buy the entire thing once again. I know alot of people who used the "knife trick" method and it used to work for a while and now the only thing they can do is watch that shiny CD in the game cover.

The moral of the story is, no matter how you choose to mod your ps2, there are risks to it involved. There are just as many folks out there who have ruined it chip route as external mod route.

It just boils down to "how much do I want to spend frying my console?"

Like I said, I'll spend 15 bucks as opposed to godknowshowmuch.

So kids, don't be like us and mod your ps2. Just say no.
