The master league should be changed to a career mode with more leagues... It was only called the master league in the first place because they didn't have any league licenses and they bundled all the teams into one "Master" league. Like Soliloquay says, they have the licenses now, so why don't they do it properly? They should get the UEFA Champs league license, music an' all. Super cups and world club cup should be added.

the world club cup! i forgot that one. that cup is missing from all the footy games . i used to love it in championship manager 01/02

I really don't think any changes need to be made with respect to the Master League as a whole. As stated there are some managerial and analytical improvements that could be made. But like, I think it would be a travesty if a FIFA type carrer mode were used instead, because the essence of the master league is competing week in week out with some of Europes best in a league format.

If anything (and I do like the idea of a carrer mode) it should be an added feature, sorta like how you can chose the players you take into a new season in the current set up

Yeah, true. The Idea of the best-in-Europe league is cool and they should have it in PES5 but they need an authentic "career mode". I don't mean a FIFA-style career mode (FIFA gets a bit too fancy)... Something like Sensible Soccer maybe (the European Edition).

What has bugged me since the days of ISS is the winger coming in to the box from the side and using X to pass to a forward, then the ball being passed directly to the opposition goalkeeper. Has never been fixed.

Also, when a player on your own team's skill increases, his wages should not. I signed Rooney on a 5yr contract as a 17yr old 4 seasons ago and he now gets paid 1445pts, more than any other striker. He should be paid what he signed the contact for, not a figure directly proportionate to how good he is, I made him that skilled and I am now paying for my own hard work. It needs fixing.

the best thing would be, that konami did all the shirts and badges also from national teams and you can play as coach with your team in the league and cups.

Somebody mentioned it earlier but Sensible World of Soccer had a great league structure. If you did well you may get offered better jobs and if you did poorly crowds went down - you couldnt afford your top players and then eventually you may get sacked and to continue in the game youd have to take the job of a lower division team it would be the only job available to you. This format with PES's game play would be fantastic.

In the game - 3rd kit idea would be great - eg I play as Sparta Prague in all red. If they play PSV (red and white) you cant use Pragues away strip as its white with red trim. PSV always have to play in theur grey strip agains colour blind me.

Why cant the goalie roll/throw the ball out when he is at the edge of the box ?

Better crowd graphics and noise - songs from each team or country.

I love the fact that referees get things wrong - m brother scored against me when he was 10 yards offside - brilliant !

Injuries should happen on clean tackles not just fouls. You could even kick the ball out when a player is lying injured and then have a drop ball.

Diving should be included and shielding (like one of the fifa games from the past)

Better weather - snow is useless and even games with strong wind that effects the play.

Still think its a fantastic game though !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should be able to dive manually like r3 or sumin and sumtimes u get away wiv a penalty or else the ref might book you for diving

- Refs don't blow the whistle as your about to cross or score.
- Smoother graphics.
- Improved keepers, so they don't stand there when you shoot from far.
- Better crowd atmosphere
- More licenses
- More balls
- Official referees
- Much improved referees

Diving would ruin it, as would pitch invasion, as would blood etc....

they should put in the customisable tshirts under the strip that was promised for last year_ proballly cut due to the new yellow card rule for taking of shirt. could still be used for when youve won or cup or the player could just lift it and not take it off. Last year i wrote to konami when they asked for ideas they said that any ideas used wthey would give money to that person. i told them about the keeper ability as i told them that a defender such as rio ferdiand could be good in goal as he has a high defence and good speed. so they defenitly used that idea. I also suggested the refee although that was obvisous.

I think the hair styles should be better so you can put in highlights or red and blond streeks instead of just having the one colour

The flip flap should be put into pro 5 as it has in we8lw
the replays should be longer so if you go on a huge run and then score it shows the goal in all its beuty instead of just having the shot.
more kits licences. should be able to change the stadium. e.g. banners, colurs of seats, size as well as the side boards without having to use a patch.

The customise kit option should be more advanced

ANTI RACISM BANDS!!!!!!!!!!! sick of these bands.

better traing simualr to rocky. e.g. strength can be increased be increased by weights, working out. skipping ropes,

bring back euro and world allstars.

Improvements to PES 5

Hi everyone i´ve been playing Pro evo and iss from the begining.. and i must say that they have come a really long way and have made the best soccer game for the moment with pes 4 .. however what i thinnk would be a good idea is if konami whent to see a real match and then examine what is missing in the game the crowd, cheerleaders, mascots etc.. and after that take a look at SWOS - Sensible world of soccer´s Career mode and implement something very similar.. like getting job offers from other clubs and national teams. and the explosive amount of teams.. "get the licenses" ....

Just reading through and theres some good ideas for improvement. I like the 3rd shirt option as some teams home and away shirts are to alike e.g. Barcelona.
On a similar note one thing that seems strange to me is that htere are two official adidas shirts to use when editing but as there are 3 official leagues with official shirts by nike, umbro, kappa etc surely these shirts can be used as templates.
Also its annoying nut being able to edit national shirts badges as the flags look naff. If Konami pay for a license for the spanish league can they not use the official spanish national shirt?

Other improvements i like are:
more stadiums (get rid of the awful pitch - south african stadium)
more national teams (israel, lithuania etc)
also even players with high aggression rarely get sent off, lets have teams finish with 9 men after they lose the plot cos there losing to a crap team.

Sensible World of Soccer seems to come up a lot here. It was such a great game... I'm amazed that footie sim developers haven't copied it yet. It does mean having a huge database of players though, so licenses are v. important..

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before, but each club should have their FULL reserve players and Acadamey players. OR perhaps the young players that enter ML could be REAL young players, with potential ratings.

That sensible soccer thing sounds awesome. Sounds like a must-add.

on a technical note, has any thought that maybe the slow-down occurs because of the complexity of the gameplay? i read someone rebut the lack of improvements to the crowd/animation etc due to slow down because FIFA's crowd and graphics were pretty much spot on. but there gameplay misses the point completely.

i really do believe we have to wait for PS3 9and 'the chip') until we get the 'realism' we're looking for.

but hey, gameplay over realsim for me anyday

Passing is this series is really starting to annoy me cause it's getting worse...
Firstly, the speed of passes needs to be slowed down
Secondly, the accuracy of specific passes needs to be reduced such as, a first time back heal and a lofted through-ball hit on the turn.

It's unrealistic how some passes magically find their target every time even when using mediocre players.

KONAMI make the passing game less FIFAish and more PRO EVOish,

Definitely multiplayer ML. I don't mean to play with your mates in cooperative mode but to be able to play the ML with two or more teams. I reckon it could be cool.

What about Online ML? Imagine just the negociations...

I would like to see a bigger gap between good and bad players. I also think KONAMI has got to work on the player skills and what they reflect on the pitch. For instance when dribbling with Stam it wouldn't be wrong to lose complete control of the ball. That doesn't happen and he can even pull off a 360!!! WTF???

Short passing is too accurate. You hardly get a rebound from an unskillful receptor.

Linesmen to also make mistakes.

The option to react badly after a rough foul or an ufair call and being booked or sent off.

I've got many more but I think they won't be possible until the next console arrives :realmad:
