I m happy yo see many intelligent posts in these forums. Im serious there are some really intelligent posts and Konami should come in here sometimes.

Good posta from ScousEvolution and Saan and others.

I just wanted to mention one thing and ask u guys about it.

Actually this goes for those that like me love short passing football and possesion play.

I play against my friend, and he is the italian type nahh he just sets tactics to counter attacking and iv tried everything( when i say everything i mean it) but seems that PES gives a great advantage to those who dont care about possesion.

I play soccer as it is played in real life and altough I make some nice possesion play it seems i never can be as dangerous as someone playing counter attacks.

Now I now that a counter attack is more dangerous than a slow possesion play but what im saying is that the game should not be possible for those who love short passing .

Iv managed to score goals with nice short passing and first touching but seems that playing defensive and than launching counter attacks is more easy ! and i dont want that , I want them to be equal , cuase attacking soccer in PES is rather disadvantaged while when playing counter attacks you can easily score 3 from 4 attempts.

So lets have a game engine more kind to offensive players, this doesnt mean that defenders have to be poor but the counter attacks are purely desctructive and devesatating and in real soccer not every counter attack is scored .

what i'd like in PES5 is managers, and the ability to edit them just like the players, they are responsible for the changes and tactics of the opposition and maybe can get sent off from the dugout...in rare occasions.

also the new game oughta have better atmosphere in particular stadiums, in spannish grounds, the fans should scream "GOL" instead of "Yeah" like in britain. Theu could also put in clearer songs and chants from the crowds, when Celtic Liverpool and Ajax are playing, "You'll Never Walk Alone" should be heard if they're at home, The barcelona song could be played at the nou camp, the dutch song you hear at the world cup with the netherland, maybe even the great escape theme at competitve England matches. Adding to the atmosphere would knock this new game a notch above the rest.

Yeah digital face mapping, that'd be good if PES had got as good as it could be in terms of gameplay. Otherwise I’d like Konami to focus on improvements to the gameplay rather than face-mapping which, to be fair, would only come in on next generation consoles.

Surely if you guys have played PES from the start then you'd realise that the gameplay is what makes this game amazing? Yes, the gameplay can still be improved and yes, everyone wants different additions but if for example, PES 5 did have digital face-mapping and other fancy things installed would that really make it a better game?

With all due respect to the people, sorry I mean geniuses, at Konami, they have done an absolutely amazing job with the PES series but I believe improvement to gameplay still needs working on. If anyone is pleased with the current state of the gameplay and thinks that Konami should halt the gameplay and concentrate on the other aspects such as getting licenses please say so.

If anyone reading this has had the experience to play International Superstar Soccer, just remember that was the game laid for Konami to begin designing the Pro Evolution series. Point being the ISS series was just as raw, real and beautiful as the PES series. Of course, PES bettered and furthered ISS in terms of representing football on a console and FIFA did not have a scratch on it although everyone thought that licenses were paramount. I’m not one to cause arguments but to say licenses was what made FIFA better needs their head checked.

However, it seems to me that everyone wants the game to be fully licensed. I've seen the polls and read the posts and it seems to be the one thing all you PES fans want. It wouldn't make a change to the way i play the game, it just makes the game visually sweeter on the eyes. So what if people want the licenses? Would licences realllllly make the game all that much greater? Would game editors letting you be able to place Nike and Adidas logos on kits fill you with satisfaction? It wouldn't with me but I tell you what does in the game and that's rocketing a 30-yard strike into the top corner against your friend or pulling off a challenge that stops the striker bearing down on goal. PES is as raw and accurate a representation of the game as you can get on a console and it is the pure realism of the game that makes it what is is; an amazing gaming experience that depicts the beautiful game oh-so-well.

I feel that if the gameplay was absolutely perfect and there was no other possible way it could be improved then yes, bring aboard the face-mapping, more kits, hairstyles, option to tuck in/tuck out shirts, all the licenses, post-match commentary and what-have-you but at the moment i am sure that many of you have noticed the flaws in gameplay that if bettered, would move the game another step towards perfection.

With all due respect, those of you who are begging for a license, would you rather have a fully licensed version of the game or would you want to get rid of the gameplay flaws. By that i mean such flaws as the annoying goalkeeper bug where they stand still and watch the ball go into the net? Would you sacrifice a fully licensed PES to improve the play-on rule or a player's first touch, improved tactics or the inclusion of quick free kicks? How about sacrificing licensing to have even more intelligent AI with not only the computer playing a much more unpredictable and sensible game but your own players making clever runs and knowing when to leave the ball and stay onside. This is all hypothetical of course yet if i was to make the decision of having all of these improvements on gameplay or have the licenses, i'd know what i'd choose - improvement on the current gameplay is paramount and I’m sure I’m not alone on that one.

I LOVE TOAST
When you win a cup, your whole squad should go up for it instead of just the starting 11 just like in real life. Also the captain who you choose most for the whole season should collect it

That would be a nice fix for the next game. I always seem to make odd substitutions in cup finals and forget to change my captain so some rubbishy players collects the cup :(

i think there should be on screen lines men and national anthems and a masterleague in which tranfers are done with money rather than points.points make it look rather unrealistic.then the african players should resemble in thier physical appearances and cameroon specifically not just the worlds top players or teams.then the posibility of a club playin only againts a club and not a national team.this will make the game to look to realistic.then the precence of all licenced leagues as in fifa though i hate fifa so much!!!
