fifa v pro evo , erm let me think, pro evo kicks ass the real battle is not pro evo or fifa its pro evo on ps2 or xbox360

Played both. They start to play alike. i just think that this year FIFA takes an A for the effort but its still a bit inferior gameplay-wise. And that PES takes a C for the non-effort abd miserable 360 edition. Next year, maybe FIFA will be the better game if they both continue to 'evolve' like this year. I just hope Konami will get it and do the right thing creating a complete and enjoyable PES7

I have been playing ISS/PES for 10 years until this year when PES6 on Xbox 360 just sucked. I was slowly becoming disillusioned anyway with PES and this incarnation was going to be the dealbreaker for me. There is so much still wrong with it when they had a real chance to completely evolve for the next generation. This was £50 on release day and was barely different from Pro Evo 5 on the PS2. The audacity to release this half @rsed 'sequel' is beyond words.

I still have my PS2 and when I want to play a PES game I'll play PES5 on that.

I wasn't going to bother with Fifa 07 on the 360 until I saw a free demo download on marketplace and I really couldn't believe how good it was. I thought there had to be a catch when I bought the game but there wasn't, and on xbox live it is amazing. Lag free, 2 against 2 games are easy to come by, hardly like my 5 attempts in a row to get a 1 on 1 game on Pro Evo and never even reached kick off.

I should point out that I no longer have the time in my life to get really into Master League type stuff so I can't comment on which is best. These days I like to switch on for up to an hour for a few online games then go and do something else, and with Fifa on the 360 that is perfect.

I also know that graphics don't make a game but they do help and they are, without exaggeration, 5 times better than those in Pro Evo, and the animation is unparalleled in any game I have ever played, and I really mean that. It looks absolutely blinding, the ball movement is amazing and they have got the balance just right.

Pro Evo should hand over the crown then work double hard to beat Fifa now. Can't wait for next years' efforts.

I can't help but feel that every year Konami gets lazier and lazier (no Bundesliga in number 6 for example), while every year EA Sports really make an effort to improve the FIFA games.

Yeah, lazy or they didn't have the time or they've (Seabass & co) genuinely come to the end of their shelf life. Whatever the reason, the game should have been £20. £30 tops, as it's half a game.

Look what Rockstar did with Table Tennis, they knew it was just the bare bones of a game and by no means the finished product, and priced it accordingly. The customer was left with a fair choice. Personally I bought it and didn't rate it that highly but I can't accuse Rockstar of a rip off, it was almost half the price of other 360 games.

I'm really pleased that EA have come up with what they have. If you play it you can really see the work that's gone into it. It has its low points of course (The crowd don't sound too bothered when a goal goes in) but they are minimal.

It's a completely brand new game engine and it's breathtaking stuff, considering it's a debut. And you can bet they won't just sit back and change a few names for next year's release. There must be a stack of improvements they are already realising they can make.

The commentary is spot on too, there's loads of it and it's always pertinent.

There's not too much difference on Pro 6 than last years' version. Fifa 07 is trying something new, but the poor AI when passing ruins the game for me. Still the ball physics have improved and they are going the right direction. Konami seem to be sitting on its laurels a bit, but they still rule this year IMO.

hey i have got both fifa07 and pes6 for the Xbox 360 and i believe that Fifa is better for the Xbox 360 and pes6 should be played on PS2 so you can edit all the teams and have more stadiums.

Well i think Fifa on the 360 is a joke too due to the exclusion of ALL the leagues, only 7?? I mean, i no PES don't have many but thats cos EA stole em all. At least PES has Rangers and Celtic ;)

But when you compare the two (as the title of this thread suggests) Fifa still has more than Pro Evo. I don't know why EA left out so many leagues but I'm going to look into it and find out. I reckon It'll either be because of time restraints or so they can put them in as an 'improvement' in Fifa 08.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not one of your 'brand loyalty' suckers, I know that EA are money grabbing scum. But there are two football games out there for the 360 and - for me - one's clearly better than the other, leagues included. The choice is easy.

I havent bought a fifa game since 98, i have however tried to play them..until now pro evo has urinated all over fifa in terms of gameplay and realism (once edited) however as ea advertise THIS is the season, THE season being that pro evo has become the man utd of the modern era..dominant for the best part of a decade then eventually get lazy and are overtaken by a richer, hungrier opponent. It hurts to say it but Fifa 07 rules the roost as far as 360 is concerned..Konami the gauntlet has been thrown down.

Played them both. PES is still a bit better gameplay-wise but FIFA compensates with options and graphics. That's all. If PES got some live updates (editing, replays, stadia) then it will be again the undisputed king. Still beats FIFA 4-3 though, while all the previous games had a 5-0 scor for PES. Next round please!

FIFA 07 hands down, as it is more realistic in terms of graphic, movement and background colors. The movements in PES series has been a let down as players run like as if they are sliding. There movements are very robotic unlike FIFA.

FIFA this year I'm afriad to say. It's just much better on the 360 than Pro is. Maybe because this is FIFA's 3rd game on the 360. Hope Pro improves next year. They need licenses as well, or a god damn good edit mode.

Don't worry dude, we'll get a full edit mode for PES7, they simply didn't have the time to implement all the features for PES6 according to Seabass. I posted an interview a while back with the man himself and he guaranteed us a full edit mode for the second installment on the 360.......hopefully they'll do a bit more work on the graphics aswell, PES always had better graphics than FIFA on the current-gen imo.

the post about the price, and been half a game, check out play as it is £25 or something now. gonna rent fifa tommorrow too compare, but from the demo it seems like they have reworked completley but still not as good as the beloved pes. the reason fifa is improving as some say is because they are behind in the race whereas pes is ahead so one will have too make strives to catch back up to pes

Wouldn't it be absolutely fecking awesome if EA and Konami just worked together and they created a work of art?

My 8 cents.
