Pro Evolution Soccer 6 - PC Next gen or PS2 port?

It seems like the pc version is just an easy copy of what konami can produce on consoles - saves time i guess. Konami are developing the games for consoles priorties and then converting to pc for its version.

The rumours going around are that the PC version is not nextgen gfx standard (in a ploy that helps ppl wif poor pc's run and buy the game) and its just alligned to the ps2 version which isnt upgrading its gfx... so pc will be hardly upgraded on gfx.. There have been great screens from xbox360 next gen... but none from pc... i guess they dont want to reveal the secret of how poor the pc effort is.

PC will be as good as PS2 >>>
"current-gen iterations of the game will also hit PS2, PSP, DS and PC"

From the pc section of IGN ?? - so is the pc version just a scratch of playstations back and now xbox 360>>>>
Quotes:
Seabass: Five or six years ago when PS2 was just starting to take over from PSone, the change from one console to the next enabled us to upgrade the graphics and the AI and that's a similar change we're now going through for the Xbox 360. Additionally we can make a lot more of the online features because the online infrastructure around the world is much further advanced than it was even just a few years ago.

Yay for this >> but what about gfx dammit!!
Furthermore, both PS2 and PC versions will feature significantly improved online functionality, with up to eight players now able to compete simultaneously through four linked systems.

.....Oh here we go >>> wait thats XBOX DAMMIT!!
While the Xbox 360 game will sport significantly improved visuals and animation

This is why the game is released in america 4 months later >>>>>
FIFA outsells PES in the US partly because of the number of Latino gamers who buy it for the Mexican leagues. Is this something that PES might include in the future?

Seabass: Our first priority is to include Europe's six major leagues but that doesn't mean we're going to stop there. We're always looking for opportunities to maximise sales and marketing. Mexico has a strong football following and its leagues are top of our list for inclusion. In fact I'm planning to go to Mexico soon to check out the scene.

Look at this>>> (release for PC idiots... not xbox)
demo is coming late due to Xbox 360 version development

So please tell me konami u arent ripping us PC customers off.... I want improved gfx dont releease PS2's versions gfx for us otherwise i will not be paying money for something that could be called PES5.1.

We dont have to have next-gen(surround sound etc)... but we should at least be released with our own version ... our own make... with gfx (widescreen pure silky smooth high end) that compare to xbox360 without the HD. I hate to say it but i think konami could seriously sell us short here.

i would like to know this question too because i have both 360 and pc but the thing is that if the pc version has gfx the same has 360, i will cancel my 360 order and buy it for the pc because like mentioned above you can play up 2 8 players online.Plus you can play againts ps2 users and have mods!!!

Haven't we already been told future PES versions will be written for the PC first and ported over?

PC's are capable of far superior graphics to consoles, particularly as the market has picked up again and we're getting into complicated physics calculations which will be involved with DirectX 10. We're also getting to the stage where w ecan use four or even eight graphics cards in conjunction with the performance issue presently being worked out.

As for the present version, looks as though we're being ripped off.

The short answer is that PES6 for PC will be graphically equivaleny to the PS2 version. Seeing how earlier versions of the PC PES have been exactly like the PS2 version, I don't see KONAMI making any aesthetical tweaks for the PC version this time around either, although this time I suppose they technically could seeing how they have a 360-version with graphical details enhanced that a computer could easily handle. Thank god for Kitserver and 1920*1440 forced resolution. PES PC might not be graphically intense at all, but then by god I will have uber-resolution!

For PC-PS2 port this year. Its already said PES7 will be created ONLY FOR NEXT GEN(including PC) so PES7 for PC will have next gen graphics, but not PES6.After a year people would have to sell their PS2 and Xbox, but thats not a big matter.

Well, I think one can assume they won't shut down the PES franchise after PES6, so a PES7 is fairly probably to appear in the future.

The point he was making was that all versions of the PES after PES6, in other words the PES released in a year or so, most likely will have fairly similar graphics for Xbox, PS3 and PC. PES has never been about the graphics to be honest, but seeing PES6 for the 360 and it is clear that even the fairly small improvement to the lighting engine and the higher-detail kits and textures goes a long way to create a more realistic and warm environment. It will be interesting to watch PES7 evolve when that time comes.

yes indeed our systems can overturn xbox 360 gfx easy with a high end system.

But Konami is scared of loosing buyers becuase of massive requirements... Fifa 07 runs on any system but a NextGen version of PES would require a top notch setup. So they are restricting pc gfx for marketing... and plus there is much less of a market for pc on pes so they leave it priotised for console...

If pes6 for pc = pes6 for ps2 then i will not be paying money for the game that is a total rip off.. we know pes7 will be releeased independ from console and be a next genversion./... but at least pes6 should have some advances on ps2 gfx.. A ported version will make buyers extremely angry.... << I can only imaging this is why they havent released pc screens,..

By the way i got fifa 07 .. i tweeaked my gfx card settings to max and its not that bad any more.. The game is getting alot better fast... I hope konami is doing well this year because over the next few years fifa will be right with them... The faces r still stupid... but gameplay is getting nicer.
