Guys I'm at a bit of a loss here.
I recently re-purchased PES 2016 with the intention of playing it over the summer because of the drought in PS4 games over the summer months.
When I installed the disc, my console never prompted me to update PES with its current update. The last time I'd played the game was before Christmas, before the original transfers of last summer were even implemented so I knew there were updates I wasn't receiving.
I turned the game on and I'm prompted with the message "Your version of PES 2016 is out of date" and so can't login or play online. When I go back to the PS4 main page, I press the option button and check for updates, and it tells me my version is up to date (which it isn't).
When I check information, it tells me my version is 1.00, the original version of the game. I tried deleting all of my files and information on PES, and I definitely have enough space for the download as I've over 170GB free. My console is also up to date and I've restored all licenses, as I heard that was an issue but to no avail.
Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.
