Usually "regular" is a good setting which most player wont overpowered each other as low rating players tend to be lousy and high rating will be playing well in game.
When i tested on "Professional" mode, 1 custom team which all players have "40" stats play with liverpool as i control liverpool which it lead to lose the game. (0-3) Its not i weak in playing PES and it because the AI controling in "PRO" mode is way too much.
In "PRO" mode defender stick to our striker like a glue even with stat below "40" and their passing alway 100%. In "regular" mode your player shoot well which sometime score or sometime just as little wide but in "pro" mode our player shoot like shit or even lob the ball for nothing.
As what i know, in higher mode it doesn't depend on the players stat, it only tweaking the control of your player which make it poorer and lead you to harder playing only..
P/S: How funny whole team with below "40s" stats can win a normal team like liverpool in "pro" mode. This kind of difficulty setting is "rubbish"
