Ps2 online shooters

I'm getting pretty bored of lag in practically every half i don't host in pes5 and i get a little too angry for my liking at times. Therefore, i want any suggestions of decent shooters i can play online.

I've heard of the usual few (Socom, James Bond, Rainbow 6 etc) but the reviews i read don't provide sufficient detail regarding the online gameplay and features. For those of you who have, or have played shooters online (ps2) how are they? What's the lag like?

I don't mind which one i get but i just want to play free for all shootouts (at least 4-6 people at a time) as i'm not too keen on co-op. Additionally, one that's not too difficult to grasp would be helpful. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So can you do a free for all online for call of duty, James Bond or any of the others i mentioned? And what's the lag like on it?

Although I aint played it online myself, Killzone is apparently the best PS2 online FPS.
