I dont know what game store you went to but the guy that told you this doesnt know sh.t, you can play the pes 2008 (ps2) on the ps3 no problem at all and this option file works just fine with it mate.

is this definetely pes2008 PS2 version option file or can it still be applied to pro evo 6 last years game.

also the pes2008 ps2 version is it exaclty the same as last years game apart from world tour mode. are the game mechanics the same etc ??

also ive got a 60gb ps3 so this will definetley will play the pes2008 ps2 version are u sure ?? uve all tried it ?????

and finally whats it like on-line ? is same options as ps2 version. 2vs2, cup modes etc.

im asking all this coz i hate the ps3 version, its too fast and too easy to go past players. its more acadey.

This is the option file for the PS2 Version of PES 2008, in my opinion the game is very similar to PES6 but is worth the upgrade for the new world tour mode (Challenges). I have the 60gb PS3, plays for sure, but has similar problems to PES6 when played on the PS3. Minor slowdown for first 10 mins of in game time, then it settles down.

cheers chebs, thanks for letting me know...at the mo ive got pro evo 6 ps2 running on ps3. so do u think its really worth the upgrade ? ...any differences on-line ? any additions or subtractions ? ....u noticed any real improvements in graphics or gameplay mechanics for pes2008 ps2.
is it faster or normal pace like pes6 ps2.

i absolutely hate ps3 version. its too fast, too easy and damn awful to look at, and laggy as hell.

also ur option file...im a man united fan...will it have the white line on the back of shirt ??

yes the united shirt has the white line on the back, the gameplay is better , requires more tactics to win with the addition of the new Team Vision. Diving has been removed from the PS2 version (Thank God). As for graphics virtually, the same. I would say its a bit slower than PES6, but in a good way. New game modes, including world tour, justify the upgrade, plus you can get it for very cheap now.

chebs what a guy !, uve just convinced me to get it. u didnt mention the on-line is it same modes as pes 6 PS2 and...is there any lag on there ?? etc....is it busy with gamers ?

also a question to you chebs....how have u managed to convert to .psv files for the ps3. ....what program is there...that will convert the max and gsx files to .psv.

let us know...

also finally....does ur option file...have all the formations and starting line-ups.

Online is Virtually the same, but more stable, less lag. As for converting files, that is done by using a max drive to put the save onto a memory card, or if the save is already on there, you simply use the PS3 memory card adapter to transfer the save to the PS3. Lot of work, but worth it in the end. As for formations, all correct as of now, but can be changed to suit users liking.

hey chebs got ur option file up and running on pes2008-PS2, its very good overall.

but i thought u said..the Man utd shirt from the back has the white line running down ? but on the option file u sent me...it hasnt.

please explain.

so far on-line played 2 matches and the other players got disconnected. and the ball moves allover the screen.


A1 is alot stronger on ps2. I asume they definetely have the A1teamvision on this version.

It can play PS2 games unless your unlucky enough to have the 40gig version which wont play them at all. :-(
