Play pes6... its the same game, there is nothing different apart from the freakishly bright new skins, which looks rediculous.

Also well done to Konami for totally selling out, put all that effort putting the new advertising boards instead of doing ANYTHING with the game.

No diving, No new skills, No new celebrations, no new anything.... 30pound of my well earned money down the fkin drain.

DO NOT BUY PES08, they havent done ANYTHING to it, because they want u to buy the overpriced ps3.

I am totally disappointed with pes 08 for the ps2, who else is?

Viva la fifa!!!!

mate what are you on? i got the game. yes the looks of the game are the same but who gives a fuck. what matters down to earth is the game play which they have improved. they have made it much more realistic and the AI is much harder to score against as the defense is much more solid. the goal keepers reactions are also better as they do more than just catch a blast from 2 yards out. there are also some new modes like the challenge mode. so if anything your just an dumb ass that wants to complain as you have nothing better to do so all you do is give criticism.

I would agree with you PEM, i've been watching people bitch and moan about how pro evo 2008 (ps2) is nothing different and its a waste of money, if you played PES6 a lot you will notice the differences between the new and old, as i haver already stated there is nothing drastic, but who thought there would be?
I for one am happy with Pro Evo 2008 :)

so am i mate. good on ya. you cant really improve the look of the game that much as its the ps2 for fuck sake. its gone to its potential. so im very happy with what they have done it was well worth the £25 i payed for it. (Had points on my GAME card)

3. Very hard - hence the reason it wasnt done

4. still not checked that but does that really fucking matter !1

5. Fifa have problems with up to date teams as well

1. goalkeepers never did catch a blast from 2 yrds. it was an exaduration on the fact that the keeper never used to tip the ball behind for a corner

2. I expected more drastic changes than there is. its a ps2 what more can it do, if you wanted more go buy a 360 or ps3

3. how hard is it really to transfer some of the features from 360 and ps3 to ps2?well with the space on the disks it could fit but do you really want the game to load every time and have lag like the 360 and ps3 versions have

so stop complaining and if you dont like it go play on fifa and comment on how good its graphics is and how shit the gameplay is. then i bet you will go on a fifa forum and complain about that.

Only played one game yet (1-1 exhibition mode, won 4-3 on pens, top player), but the first impression is quite positive. I thought the passing is a bit better than on PES6, especially when trying through balls with a player like Rosicky. I think the dribling feels a lot smoother too. Plus, it seems strong players can't be knocked out of possesion as easily as they did in PES6: on one occasion I had Toure lead the ball upfield when an opposition player whent in for a shoulder tackled but he bounced right off him :cool: . I liked that. In PES6 it seemed like it didn't matter how strong your player was, the comp was gonna win the ball anyway.

Well, that's just my first impression. Need a bunch of matches before I can say for sure.

im pleased with the new pro, yes it could be alot better but oh well
im not happy with the fact that there are no real boots and that you cant design your own that well either

Pro EVOLUTION evolves, that's why it's called it. Every game is a slight improvement on the previous because that way they'll eventually achieve perfection and when you buy a game you know it'll be awesome. Play Pro Evo 1 then play Pro 7 and you'll understand. Sorry they could just skip from 1 to 7 but I'm glad I had new additions to play on in the 7 years between!!!

excellent post. well said that man. if you play the game regularly you tend to spot the subtle changes, it's difficult to improve upon perfection year on year.

ye i agree the game has improved slightly, only disappointment for me was the lack of boots and not even being able to edit them yourselves, but apart from that i am happy with PES2008

First impressions for me are that its not too bad. Undoubtedly they've changed all the best stuff on the PS3 version, but hey its Pro Evo! I'd pay £100 for it if I had to! Quite impressed with the track record part in the gallery menu, the bit where it shows how long your total play is...that's gonna be thousands of hours by next year!!

I'm sure you can't do it but if you can bring your defenders up for corners someone let me know cos I can't find it?
