PS3 - Error 80010029, please help! Game not starting

(PS3) Since I have had the game, upon starting it, I have always had an error message, that appears at the first loading screen possible. I have always pressed circle and ignored it, as the game has run perfectly in all departments.

However, today I installed the new 1.20 update, and after reaching 100% the game stops at the loading screen. I have tried turning off and on, but every time I try to play the game, the same error 80010029 message appears, and after pressing circle, the game just seems to continually load and nothing happens.

Anyone else experienced this? Any help appreciated

'fraid not... whatever you do, don't ring the fucking PS3 helpline... I am on it at the moment... 15misn with no answer as of yet...

delete all of ur pes saves and options and the new update and then just start the game over. i know that will suck if ur far into the ML or BAL but it should work then np

just deleted the update and the option file. And still doesnt work, will try deleting everything later, if there is no alternative. Will back it up on usb but cant really be bothered at the moment, any other ideas?

Also, having wasted about 30 minutes last night copying every single file for Von's OF. I'm really annoyed that i now have to delete every single one again manually one by one :( Is there no 'copy all' or 'delete all' function, would save ridiculous amounts of effort (obviously nothing compared to the great people who made the OF)

exactly the same thing is happening to me, the error comes up, but has done before and worked fine. But the game just shows the stars bottom left with a black screen. Is it the update? PLEASE HELP AHHHHHH:crymore:

alas, I have solved the problem friends. It is not infact the save data that you must delete, like I foolishly have done, but you must go to game data utility and delete your file there. Mine works fine now without any error message, although the update doesnt seem to have updated any transfers, oh well, going to put Von's Option file back on now.

Anyone know a quicker way of copying all the files? Cos otherwise its one by one for me again...

I just eventually go through, I'd say about 27mins waiting in total, over 4 different calls. In fairness, they were very helpful - the only issue is caused more by the fact they can only pick up my PS3 anytime on the 18th - which means I'll have to miss my lectures that day.

Ok guys, I too have the dreaded 80010029 error incurred when downloading update. I have deleted ALL game data visible (not just PRO Evo) from both the game data utility and saved stuff so there are no files viewable in any of the game folders. (Yes did copy to USB stick first!)
When I restart PES (after hard shutdown of everything) and without any files being put back, a message pops up suggesting I download the update which it appears to do ok. It then installs and after 100% I get the 80010029 error message again. The game will work ok if I choose not to receive the update. Also other games with online play work fine. I'm awaiting my third reply from Konami after the first one told me to delete the OF from game data utility and the 2nd one suggested deleting all PES data. Neither of these resolved the problem. Please can someone help, I can't wait to try out the online play. All I can think of is there's maybe some temp file somewhere that's not visible that's messing things up but I can't see an option to view hidden files. Is there any way the disk or the PS3 could be corrupt? Has anyone else heard of this prob not being resolved after deleting the PES files?
PLEASE HELP :)

if this happans all you do is go to saved data then delete 1.20 download then re install it and it should work

Did you mean from within the PS3 XMB game option cos I have deleted ALL game data visible (not just PRO Evo) from both the game data utility and saved data so there are no files viewable in any of the game folders

I've just come off the phone with PlayStation3 support: they think that its due to certain ports on my router not being open.
In order to fix this the following information needs to be inputted on my router setup page. On mine its under virtual server then open ports.
I then need to type in under TCP port settings:
80 443 5223 range 10070-10080
Under UDP port settings:
3478 3479 3658 10070
I'm away for a few weeks so will try this as soon as I get back.

A new update came out recently and I guess it superceded the previous one and it downloaded fine. Hooray the error is gone!

I have a PS3 and i play killzone zone. I want to copy the save game to make a backup. But the PS3 won't let me copy the saves. I don't have this problem with any other game but killzone. I guess the saves have become corrupt, but i can load the games from it. Is something else wrong? When i try to copy the saved games it tells me its not allowed. Can anyone help me out? Please help, i don't want to loose my saved game. Thanks!
