your ps3 must be connected to the internet and you should be connected to your PSN.

if you managed to do all that without breaking anything, then insert the game and you will be automatically prompted with a patch that is available for download.

ok got it working had to restart the game a few times before it would recognise there was an update.

I notice slight graphics improvement and slight gameplay improvement.

Replays frame rate still poor and so is the edit mode (no changes!?)

absolutely brilliant plays 100% perfect offline
and 95% online the lag has gone for now.

well unless u play someone with a red connection

i must say, well done konami, the player graphics don't look as sharpe as they were before but there are no more framerate drops!

i thought how could i really test it, well you know when you get an injured player who has to go off, when he comes back on a small screen appears in the bottom corner showing him run back on. Now normally when this happened the game would go into complete slowdown mode for the 5 seconds this graphic was showing, but now it has been completly erradicated. Also, when the ref goes to show a yellow card, again no slowdown. Goal celebrations and cut scenes of players crowding the ref, gone!

Replays are still a bit stuttery but i can live with that.

I even took a corner into a completly crowded box and there wasn't even a sign of the game going into slow motion mode. i would like to know what the exact changes are and how they did it, but at the moment...

I got my baby back! See Konami you can do it!

yeah just played a ML game.

seems fine to me! the odd bit of slowdown but not really noticeable...

spot on!


now more features would be nice..... unlikely....but nice

Its good to see that they have released this. I havent got a ps3 but i have played pro on it and it was dissapointing. Well done to konami for releasing this ;)

What the hell... Are you all in HD? I am in SD and it's worse than ever... If you're in HD then that's what konami want you to be in....

I don't understand, it's just the same old rubbish for me.

Patch aint done sh!t for me. playing in sd still skips and stutters like a bitch, and online is even worse than before- i just disconnected a match for the first time its that bad.

Konami can go jam a sixaxis up there arses for all i care now.

...How the hell can there be this huge spectrum of people....some saying that its fixed all issues etc and others saying its done fuck all...in your case kev made it worse.....how can this be?

btw im still waiting to actually be prompted to download the cunt of a patch :S....ARRRRRGHHh

I'm playing in SD and am still experiencing some lag. I've tried all the tips (commentry off, installed on HDD etc.). I think the patch has improved it a bit but it's hard to tell as the stuttering is still unacceptable. Help!

For me the most successful method is changing the camera to "Broadcasting 3" - it becomes pretty smooth and realistic looking, however it's a lot harder to play as the camera changes to a close up when you get near the wings and it's hard to see your passing options. It's not the best solution.
