[PS3-US] PES 2011 MLS Option File - by BolivianFire & connoll3

1. You don't want to copy over/replace the 'System Edit' file on your machine. You'll lose any trophies, etc. if you try to do that. Leave it alone. That is why the 'System Edit' file is not included in the download.

2. The crucial file is the 'Edit Data'.

Yes, thank you, you are totally right. I typed "System Edit" when I meant "Edit Data."

I have a USA PS3, with PES 2011 1.2, running data pack 7.0.

I should point out that I've installed several OFs for PES 2010/2011 over the last couple years, so I am familiar with the process. I copied over all the files, deleted the default Edit Data on my hard drive, then copied over the Edit Data from the downloaded OF.

But when I look at the game, all the teams have their default names and badges -- nothing appears to have been edited. It looks like I've just replaced the default edit data with more default edit data.

Is there any chance you might email me a copy of just a working Edit Data folder? That way I can know for sure that it's not a corrupt file. cklarock at gmail dot com

Thanks for any help -- I'm looking forward to playing your OF, it sounds excellent!

Ok, well, I'd like to know if there is indeed any corruption in the files I uploaded. Again: Is anyone else out there having any problems? (Since both of the recent updates have had dozens of d/ls, and I haven't heard other complaints, I'm assuming others aren't running into problems. Is that a good assumption to make?)

With your problem, what file did you d/l? The full or the update? If nobody else is reporting problems, I'd recommend you run through the steps again. Maybe download a fresh file, just in case.

(I'm not going to be near my PS3 for a few days, so I can't send you a clean file. But I suspect that the files already up are fine, until I hear complaints from multiple people. So...keep trying.)

I sent you a PM with some info. I can't post kits formulas at the moment, since I don't have access to my PS3.

Yes, they probably are. After some troubleshooting, I found out that for some reason known only to the Software Gods, two versions of the Save Data file for PES 2011 can live in my game save folder. Clearly, PES is not recognizing your file, and preferring its own (or no file at all, if I've deleted the PES-generated file).

While I have no idea why, my gut says blame my PS3, and my backup position is blame this PES install. I wiped my PS3 HD after the recent Playstation Network meltdown, and I'm guessing it's f-cked in some magical, subtle way. I've requested the latest update and I'll see if that fixes the problem, and failing that will reinstall PES, but this is starting to seem like a lot of work for a game that is actually bettter on the wii. :)

Must be MLS season or something. Heading out to the Sporting Park opening tomorrow, and I'm fired up to play some MLS PES.

Thanks for your help, I'll post updates if anything changes.

Well, that certainly sucks. Hope you get the issue sorted soon. Good luck.

^^ And enjoy the game, both of you. The new stadium looks like it'll make for a nice experience. :)

In case anyone missed this, fcpappin has released a stadium pack with most of the MLS stadia rendered, plus a few USL/NASL stand-ins. Details and a download link are available here:

http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=84763

The file is somewhat large, but the installation process is relatively straight-forward. Just wanted to highlight it for any interested parties.

Thanks, man, but you've put in plenty of work, especially early on. You're missed, but I understand that real life intervenes. It's cool. :)

Tried installing the stadium add on file. Everything downloaded and unzipped fine but when I put the usb stick back in the ps3 it says "no data found" .

I ran into the same problem.

I think the assorted images and files need to be in 'PS3'-->'SAVEDATA' folders in order for the PS3 to recognize them on your USB stick, like with regular option files.

So what I did was d/l the pack and unzip it. That should give you a 'PS3' folder with the files. Rename the 'PS3' folder 'SAVEDATA' and then create a new 'PS3' folder. Then put the 'SAVEDATA' folder into the 'PS3' and again try uploading via the USB.

Hope that's not too confusing...

Eh...that build for Zusi wasn't all that great. I'll be posting another update soon, probably on the weekend, so if can wait until then, the new 'edit data' should restore it.

Another update to the file has been posted (version 1.3). See the first post for d/l links.

Details on this version:

- 2011 Copa América: rosters for all CONMEBOL NTs updated for the tournament -- 100%. Kits updated 90% (missing a few of the new PNGs). Lineups & formations adjusted using some research and educated guesses. Changed a number of appearances, boots, & accessories, too.

- Overhauled classic NTs: added kits (ENG '66, FRA '98, GER '90, ITA '94, NLD '98, ARG '86, BRA '94) & adjusted a variety of appearances.

- MLS & NASL clubs updated, with ongoing alterations to formations, lineups, player stats, boots, & accessories. Updated a couple of MLS GK kits, as well.

Further notes:

- As mentioned, CONMEBOL NTs got full roster updates for Copa América, but the two guest invites (Mexico & Costa Rica) were left as is. I did not feel like adding mostly U-23 players to the file.

- FYI: you can emulate a reasonably accurate Copa América via the Cup option in 'Community' mode.

- If I run across adequate PNGs for the few missing CONMEBOL kits, I might release a mini-update in coming days with the kit adjustments. Otherwise, the next update will come around the opening of the MLS transfer window on July 15.

- If you're using fcpappin's stadium pack, you'll have to go into 'Edit' mode and re-link the appropriate 'Home Grounds' after you've loaded the update.

Beyond that: enjoy, as usual. Feedback welcome. :)

¢Ħλ®₤ỉξ-[14] did the 2011 All Star kit PNG. It's here if you want to add it on your own:

http://www.pesgaming.com/showpost.php?p=1776415&postcount=744

I can add it to the file for the next update, which I'll probably post on the coming weekend.
