[PS3 - US] "Universal" Carlsberg Division 2

I wanted an edit file that had a "universal" D2 league, one that was more or less compatible with any of the leagues in Master League.

So I took pategato's Version 2 and did a number of things:

1. Swapped out 5 of the Liga Adelante teams and replaced them with 5 Npower Championship teams.
2. Transferred players between the resulting D2 league teams to mix them up a bit.
3. Renamed each D2 league team using European names, mostly taken from names of provinces or small towns across Europe.
4. Gave each of the D2 teams new and original kits using real life company logos.
5. Used team import/export to swap out the PES and WE emblems.
6. Renamed the D2 league to "Carlsberg Division 2" and added a league emblem.
7. Fixed the few stray duplicate players from the international teams.
8. Got rid of most of the chest numbers for the international squads. I may have overdone this and removed some when not necessary.

Basically what you get is a division 2 league that has real players from Spain and England's 2nd division, but fictional teams with original kits that use real life company logos.

Unfortunately you also get the default badges for the teams in the Carlsberg Division 2. You can blame the developers for that one for not giving us enough emblem slots. Nonetheless, they blend well enough with the new kits and team names.

The new Carlsberg Division 2 isn't quite as "universal" sounding as I had hoped, but I think the team names are better than the default ones in the game. Plus the new kits are pretty cool I think.

In the zip file there are three folders:

pategatoV2- if you happen to have pategato's V2 already on your hard drive you can skip copying this

carlsbergD2- this folder contains the new edit file, league emblem, and kits

kit_pngs- has all the kit pngs I used to create the D2 league kits, for people to check out or even use themselves if they want

Credit to pategato for his V2 file, and to all the people who worked on it before him.

Final Version (updated December 14, 2011)

Download here:

In this ^ file is a new edit file, along with three kit pngs which needed fixing. Simply overwrite/replace the corresponding files in the megaupload link posted above.

Final Version includes:

-72 new real life players added to the Carlsberg Division 2. Players were selected at random from the 2nd division leagues in Germany, Italy, Netherlands, France, and Portugal. Each player added replaced a player from Spain, so now the D2 league is much more balanced with players from all over Europe.

-For every team in the game with at least 4 defenders I added a "Player to Join Attack" within the game plan "Set Piece" section.

-I did a bunch of other minor things like: fixed a few of the kits which needed fixing, made sure all the new D2 league teams had suitable lineups and tactics, gave each player on the D2 league teams new numbers (including #9 and #10 when appropriate), and also gave each of the D2 league teams a unique fictional stadium name.

Thanks again to pategato, etc. :)

Glad a few people out there are making use of this.

I'm actually currently working on an updated version. What I'm doing is adding players from the other 2nd divisions from around Europe to make the D2 league more universal. Right now it's got a large amount of players from Spain.

I'll have the new version out for the holidays, so it'll make for a good stocking stuffer.

Just found a small typo. Not gonna make a new file. People can just fix it themselves:

Change Manchester City's home ground from "EITHAD" to "ETIHAD". :ninja:
