[PS4] Chris's Best Of Everything (BOE) Option File & Graphics - DP2 VERSIONS OUT NOW

LATEST UPDATE: VERSION 2 DP2 VERSIONS NOW AVAILABLE (SEE BELOW)

Hi folks,

I started out by putting together an option file for my personal enjoyment and thought I'd share it with you - I didn't want to lose out by using one option file over another, or by combining two different files and losing half of what the first one applied (or suffering from duplicate players).

Now, here we are - VERSION 2 (compatible with DP2) of my Best of Everything (BOE) file is ready, which was started from scratch, with lots of improvements!

As before, the aim of this file was to combine all data and images humanly possible, to provide the most complete option file (with the fewest bugs).

This file incorporates all the data from several big option files, and all of their subsequent fixes, plus literally hundreds of fixes of my own - as well as a lot of cool extras (updated banner text for most European teams, for example)!

This version is based on the last Live Update released in October 2016. All teams have been exported in order for all data to be "frozen in time" at the same date when imported, which I prefer.

Key features...

  • No duplicates (fingers crossed).
  • No fake teams or players (other than ones that shouldn't appear in the Master League).
  • Real logos for all unlicensed teams.
  • Real competition logos for all competitions.
  • Includes the Bundesliga, MLS and J-League (replacing the fake European, American and Asian leagues respectively) as well as all current Champions League teams and all the best Latin American teams.
  • Real kits for all teams (including PESWorld's super-detailed kits for the top European leagues) - I've even spent (far too many painful) hours making sure the player name / squad number / shorts number settings are right for most leagues (i.e. can be seen against the colour of the shirt and don't obscure the manufacturer logo on the shorts).
  • All stadium images for the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Serie A - along with all Champions League teams, from the Netherlands, Portugal and Other Europe.
  • Correct stadium names for all teams along with customisation (different seat colours etc.) where appropriate.
  • All manager images for the Premier League and Championship, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Other Europe (including all Champions League teams), Other Americas and Other Asia.
  • Correct manager names for all teams*.
  • Custom banner text for most European teams, along with correct rivalry data for more entertaining derby days!
  • Tactical and lineup updates for most major European leagues and teams courtesy of a great little Operation Sports thread (but not "fluid formation" ones, as I felt the AI benefits more from having a selection of three standard formations).
*Managers have been left as they were at the start of the 16/17 season where possible, as some teams are currently managerless, but also to keep the data as close as it was to when the transfer window closed.

The only issue is that some stadiums (in Other Europe and Other Americas) have a plain "PES 2017" image set as their stadium picture, because there's no way to unassign a stadium picture without resetting all stadium details and reinputting them (which I wasn't prepared to do). If you're not happy with that, once you've completed the import, just delete the "PES 2017" stadium image - then, you'll only ever see the Konami default stadium image where a team has no stadium image assigned (unless you upload any additional stadium pictures)!

Lots and lots of people I need to thank (from this website unless stated otherwise)...

CREDITS:

Cristiano92 for his wonderful DFL option file (including the Bundesliga), which I have used as the base for this, paul2478 for providing some of the stats that went into that file, valencia5 for his work on fixing duplicates and creating a log of his findings, Dorumagesu116 for creating the J-League, erzo77 for translating the first J-League file (and providing BIN files for other teams too), decoupe for pointing out a lot of additional duplicates and for translating the second J-League file, angeltorero for his national team fixes, nicoultras for his banner text and rivalry data amongst other things, R8cha for creating the MLS, Krebstar (of Operation Sports) for providing tactics info, Glen (of PESWorld) for giving permission for me to include their kits which I'm really grateful for, 4N63L and carrasco1live (Twitter name) for the remaining kits (of which there was a lot), and Larkylarkinho for his Championship stadium photos.

PES 2017 BOE Patch Version 2 for DP2 - STANDALONE

INSTRUCTIONS:

Whether you had the BOE option file installed before DP2 or not, after DP2 is installed, you need to either reinstall the original BOE v2 and v2 Fix 1, then the BOE v2 DP2 Update - OR install the BOE v2 DP2 Standalone.

The instructions differ depending on which version you download. Full instructions are included in the README file in each download, and need to be followed to the letter. Please read carefully!

PROBLEMS?

If you have any issues, please reply to this thread and I'll look into them. I won't have as much free time from now, but should there be any duplicate issues that apply to everyone, I'll look at some kind of fix (if you use a "live update", I can't provide support, as your issues will be different from other people).

DONATIONS

Collating all of this and plugging the holes, applying fixes, triple-checking everything is assigned as it should be, and then spotting that you can't see some random team's player names on the backs of their shirt because they're both the same colour... It's been an exhausting few weeks with a lot of logging off at 4am-6am and a very pissed-off missus. If you'd like to donate, then thank you, very, very much. I hope this option file provides someone with some happiness! DONATE VIA PAYPAL

I've been waiting for this all my life. A combined, all in one option file with emphasis on duplicate removing.

You are a saviour

All of this fits? Did you convert all kits to 1024x1024? Stadium and Manager images all fit into the game too?

Konami's update patch is tomorrow. Will you adjust where necessary?

the players who go new faces in DP (e.g suso, son, lemina) need to have their faces reset manually in your patch, other than that im loving it. imported it all in one go

Did you delete your edit data, install Konami's latest patch and then install OP's file?

If so, did you find any duplicate players?

Pleased to announce that the 1.02 update doesn't mess around with data (it doesn't force a Live Update on you), so it's 100% compatible with this (and all) option files. I've tried to keep mine at the start of the 16/17 English season (but including all transfer window deals) so that it's a more realistic starting point, including managers. I personally prefer that to the very latest data (as you start at the start of the season!) so THANK YOU KONAMI!

I'm also reading that the import crash has been fixed, so you should be able to install everything at once now!

I've checked my data this afternoon (i.e. now) and all the new faces are appearing without issue, for me (Mendy, Son etc.)!

do you include facebuild bro?
I haven't personally altered any faces, if that's what you mean - I'm not sure if any are included in the files I've used as a base, but I know the added leagues - Bundesliga, MLS, J-League - feature correct faces thanks to their creators.

I didn't apply live update after deleting edit.bin as recommended in the text file, just ticked 2nd box and used all the bins

Good spot - just been through all of Asia and they're the only ones missing. I must have renamed the image files at some point. I'll release a fix for this later on (even though they can be fixed manually as you say).

EDIT: Actually, North Korea's kits are linked up to the images correctly, the imported images are like that (no kit manufacturer logo)!

So will doing the following be a good idea:

1. Delete current edit data file
2. Make sure all stored images are deleted
3. Install the latest update Konami have just released
4. Install your OF

Should this be okay to ensure no duplicates are around? That's my main concern because I want to play a nice rich Master League game.

Konami's updates are confusing things for me!

What i've personnally think to do instead of erasing the edit.bin file (which oblige to rename every league and assign badge, league settings, balls assigned), is to export every fake teams from PEU, Others europe, PLA, PAS.

To reset the modded teams (example for Bundes) i import all the fake teams with 2nd boxs ticked before applying any patch.
That's what i've maked before, and it works too for the data.

If any is interested i will make a "reset exports" file for everyone.

That should be fine - Konami's update from today (v1.02) does not include data, so don't let that worry you. As long as you delete your edit data file, and all stored images, whether you import this file before or after the 1.02 update, it should make no difference (I'd install the 1.02 update afterwards, actually, just to make 100% sure the new faces are applied - but they should be either way).

It's only LIVE UPDATES that mess things up - I wouldn't recommend downloading any live updates whatsoever before installing the file (and applying one afterwards would CERTAINLY break it).

FIX 1 RELEASED!

After the national team issues that were spotted earlier, I realised a few national teams didn't have their kits linked up properly due to importing some extra data last-minute (even though the kits were included in the file and could be fixed manually if you so desired).

I've also included some new Iran and Iraq home kits, which match up with the away and goalkeeper kits (rather than them being from different manufacturers).

----------

INSTRUCTIONS:

ALL OF THE BELOW ASSUMES THAT YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THIS OPTION FILE!

Once you've downloaded this fix, extract the WEPES directory onto a USB stick (making sure that the WEPES directory is created on the stick).

Once in "edit mode", go to "data management", then "import/export", and begin to import the BIN files from the stick.

This time, when you're presented with two tick-boxes, DO NOT tick the bottom box (as this is only a kit update, not a player update).

If you are using the official PES 2017 patch v1.02, you should be able to import all files at once without a crash - BUT, if a crash occurs, you will need to delete the imported kits with blank filenames, or they will use up space unnecessarily.

Once all of the BIN files are imported, that should be it (as long as you installed the previous file fully).

ENJOY!

----------

TROUBLESHOOTING

*If* you are presented with an error that says you have ran out of image space (although I'm hoping this doesn't happen), you will need to try the following:

Delete the previous Iran and Iraq home kits in edit mode to make way for the new versions. Their filenames are:

IRANH, IRAQH

That should fix any potential issues - but if not, more help can be found in the README file!
