Question about editing

Hi all, wondering if you can help with a worry I have.I have pes 2014, and have been doing LOTS of editing (National team selections and players names, created MLS, Serie B, and Bundesliga etc). My fear is that when the new DLC arrives, it will overwrite everything I've done... Does anyone know a way around this? I don't see not downloading the DLC as an option (I want the new boots, updated rosters, hopefully fixes to gameplay).

Thanks in advance

Going on previous years the only things the DLC will mess up are as follows...

1. All the squads you have created will have their roster defaulted. So for example if you have added a player from a NT you will need to add them again after the DLC.

2. The nationalities of the players from the fake teams will be reset, but all other changes stats, appearance, etc will remain.

3. The NT squads will be reset, so you will need to swap any duplicates again.

Everything else you edit will remain, there is now quick way around it, you just need to spend the time after the DLC to fix the above things ;)

Uggggghhhhh, that sounds tedious, lol.

I was thinking, if the new DLC includes the import/export option (as I heard it will)
What I were to save my OF in a new file before adding the DLC. Once I add the DLC, I go into the edit and then load my old OF. Once I do that, export all my created teams. Once done, open edit again with the new DLC and import all my teams.
Would that work?

You could export the teams, then apply the update, then import them back in if the option comes back (which I believe will be with the new update as part of the game patch not the data pack).

The main issue with this is you can only have 20 team export files on your PS3 (this was the case last year), so you have to export 20 teams copy them from your PS3, then do the next 20, and so on. The import 20 back in, then copy the next 20 to your PS3 & import them, & so on.

This was bad enough with 38 fake teams, it will be even worse with 78. Personally I find it quicker just to fix those 3 issues than to use the import/export function.

Both will work, just depends on which you prefer ;)

Damn...

Game patch? Thats different from the DLC? When is that available? How do I get that? Does that also overwrite the transfer data like the DLC?

They usually come out at the same time as the data packs mate. As long as you're signed into PSN you will be prompted to download & install them when you start the game.

They don't overwrite anything just add fixes to the game.
