Question about shooting...

I had a look for a previous thread about this, but couldn't see anything.

My question is this:

I like PES6 a lot, for PC, but the aspect which lets it down is random shooting whereby you have absolutely no control over what kind of shot your player will produce. You could pea shoot or balloon it, regardless of what you try.

Thing is, I use a digital Playstation pad converted to USB by the Play.com adaptor, and I am aware the PS2 pad has pressure sensitive buttons - would having one of these make a difference to shooting subtelty?

I post this in the PS2 board because I am wondering if shooting is as equally hit and miss on the PS2 *with* the pressure sensitive buttons of the Dual Shock pad.

Or is it far more in the player's control?

Cheers.

If you press :R2: quickly after you press :square: then the player will attempt a side foot shot which is far more controlled.

I'm not sure about the effect of pressure sensitive buttons on the shot. I also use a PS2 controller on the PC.

I think the shooting's great. I've scored some crackers from all angles with good and not-so-good players alike. But that's just me, perhaps you have to get used to it. I think the new shooting is more realistic, as now good players are far more likely to score long range shots. Whereas in PES5 the gap in shooting skill between players was far too close.
