hi. i have created this thread as there are so many people out there who are criticising aspects of the game but dont talk about the game as a package,i was jus hoping to get some peoples opininons on the game and ratings out of 10. i do not want any1 leaving a post saying something like
"its shit 1/10"
lets have a little bit of reason behind your ratings and not just
"no edit mode"

i will get the ball rolling,the reviews dont have too be massive just give us a reason for your ranking!

id say 8/10. this is a terrific game,i am in my 3rd season of the ml,although the 1st is nothing since its d2!online mode took over for a while as i was a little addicted too that but now im back with the ml.the gameplay is awesome,graphics are very good,just have too remember that no games graphics are truley next gen just yet although many may think,just look back at the ps2 and how games graphics always seemed too improve in games like ff10 or gt4. i have scored some belters and the game would have 9.6/10 if there was an edit mode,at least let me edit boots!and if you could save replays,this isnt major as i jus record amazing replays on me phone,easy too show people too.

the next edition and what it needs would be a good way too finish your ranking!!!

i reckon it obviuosly needs an edit mode,online mode needs competitions and cups!!!i think if there is an edit mode then they should add the spandex long sleeves you see people where,some people in the prem will wear them,instead of wearing long sleeves,i belive bouba diop does it and others!

sorry everyone and i really wish iwas giving my ultimate favourite game a 10/10.
But i need to make a stand on what i believe is a very poor ofering of a game.
yes have to admit gameplay is still excellent, until you try and shoot that is and it goes flying out the stadium. And as for the headers, well much the same.
(Aston villa had a player like that some years ago Savo Milosovic every shot he took flew over the bar).
i give 4/10 for the gameplay
but the rest of the game is very very poor
no edit mode
same old master league nothing new
no save on replays
very poor start to online mode
terrrible looking menus
bad points are just endless

sorry PES I pray konami make up for it next year
but they have got one hell of a job on there hands

Those who cant get over the fact that some features are missing, are the type of people who should be playing Fifa for the real names and faces.

The games gameplay is unrivaled and is simply the most realistic football sim....EVER.

9.5/10. Can you have that? Anyway, the 360 version is another step forward for the series and although by no means perfect (is it ever?), it's a welcome progression from PES5. Passing is slicker than ever, the AI has improved 100%, widescreen is a great addition, graphics are the best yet and the ball phyiscs are superb, just watch that new Nike ball roll along the turf! Could have been better in terms of features where I think on the 360 we've actually lost out a little, but I'm sure PES7 will be immense.

chimaira67 u do seem too contradict your point, you mention that the gameplay is still excellent then you go onto say that you give a 4/10 for gameplay?i dont agree with you on shooting,it is just all about the right angle,position,power,foot,but i feel you make a very valid point with the heading!i cant seem too head for shi*!!!always in the air!i have managed too score a few with berbatov in my tottenham ml,they have all been running in and power heading,i am miserable at scoring corners!so gd point there!

I'd say out of 10;

Gameplay - Near perfect football engine, but no real improvement from Winning Eleven 10 on the PS2 9/10

Presentation - Arguably the best graphics for a football sim, but FIFA beats it for its pre/post match presentation 8/10

Lifespan - No Edit mode, no co-op online play, no PES Shop, no save-able replays, 8 Stadias, no editable player transfers and team formation changes. These lack of options don't make for longevity at all. The online mode barely scrapes credibility for PES6 on the 360.4/10

Sound - Crisp noises from the kick of the ball to the celebration of the crowd, bad commentary though 6/10

Overall - Taking into consideration that this is supposedley the 'next-gen' PES title that has been on the minds of every PES loving fanatic, this has been a pretty poor game compared to PS2's PES6. Pro Evolution Soccer games have been always striving for perfection, and it seems strange that they haven't pulled out the stops to make this game near perfect. The Online mode is a challenge in it self to get a game online, let alone being the best feature. But, it is has the best gameplay a football sim has to possibly offer. 7/10

Fantastic gameplay, graphics are superb although there is room for improvement (still not impressed with the pitches!). I trust that Konami will now have the time to add everyhing to PES7 which they couldn't add to PES6, if they don't next year then they certainly won't be getting my money.

gr8 point bluescouse.if it doesnt have an edit mode next time i am with u in not buying it!!i can tolerate it this year since its the first release!!pitches never really bothered me but i am sure they could do better!!havent seen the pitches or ought in hd tho so mebbe its better??graphics are a good starting point and they give a platform for konami too improve on.

This is Konamis first venture into the world of next-gen PES so they can be forgiven for not being able to add everything. In that german interview with Seabass he guaranteed that all the things missing from the 360 version will be added for PES7.

fifa is still pap in my opinion!better,but still pap!id also like too see the wrappings around the socks.c. ronaldo and a few others do it,where they have some white wrapping,kind of like the tape we have know only it goes from the boot up?dunno if ya have a clue wot im talking bout!

like he has in pick,that would be a good option in edit,also if the wrist bands could be flags as well as colours.in the previous versions ie pes5 we10 the wristbands looked more like tape but on the 360 they are fuller and are clearly mcenroe style wristbands!

I am almost in total agreement with Kop144 other than on lifespan, Pes is the only game I really play, from about pes3 onwards I haven't really gave many other games much time other than an hour or two here or there.

My 360 has been used more since the 25th of October, than it was used from April to pes6's release.

Really enjoying it and I have learnt the bairn how to play as well, little chunt humped me 7-1 last night.

Proper team names is the only thing that is missing for me really.

In regard to the lifespan; Since Pro Evolution Soccer 1/Winning Eleven 5 was released on the PS2 I have played every single Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven game untill the next title comes out, bar none!

The games had that longevity and ever green knack of never going stale; I played winning eleven 10 on the PS2 since the release date (early August) and I wasn't that impressed, sure it was good - but it didn't seem like an improvement from the previous Pro/WE title.

Sure PES6 is a great game, but it just feels so devalued - you could argue it feels like an extended demo of a usual PES game.

I can't really see myself playing PES6 until PES7 comes out, unless online mode sorts it self out and we get updated team rosters and at least off field formation changes, not to mention save-able replays.

5/10. FIFA 07 for the x-box 360 is far better. What the divided opinion might do, just might do, is get both EA and Konami to work harder for the next release, and we may have two cracking games on the next gen consoles...

sorry,but must disagree,fifa,for me,is the same as any other 360 fifa only it doesnt have any skill moves.

any1 having the annoyance of the computer sliding for you?i have had several yellow cards because the computer keeps sliding for me,il be controlling one guy and the ai comes charging in and hacks the guy im backing of from,in pes7 they need too make it so only the user will slide,even if you call a man with the x button!

another suggestion for the edit mode is to be able to select too pairs of boots,one the player wears with there home kit and the other with there away!i think that would be a nice feature.
