How long I've been playing and what I like about PES:
I've been playing since PES4 on the PC. I converted from FIFA because PES simply offered a more realistic and authentic soccer experience back then.
My suggestion is: Realistically animated crowds
Now that PES2010 has 3D crowds, I've noticed they are mostly just sitting like robots with a blank look, which is at most times away from the action:

However, I propose injecting a few animations to make this crowd life-like, adding immensely to the atmosphere, especially if PES2011 finally uses more realistic camera views (Vote for Realistic customizable cameras for PES here: http://forums.pesfan.com/showthread.php?t=220456)
All other sport games (NHL, Top Spin, NBA...etc.) Have near-flawless crowds animations.... with a ULTRA-REALISTIC atmopshere:

Here's an example of randomized 3D crowds' reaction of a winning team during a game using the "Massive" engine:

The crowds' reaction should reflect the action in the game. The animations would be divided into categories, each category has many varieties:
1) Scored goal jumping
e.g. First they stand... then they jump, and clap/cheer...
e.g.

2) +2 goal margin winning team celebrations:

4) Normal supporting animations:

e.g. See the crowds behind the goal as they cover their heads...

7) Baseline animations which are going on all the time, so that the crowds are never sitting still like robots (e.g. somebody talking, walking up/down the stairs, waving, moving, standing)....etc.

This will all add a big deal to the game's atmosphere making it a lot more realistic and exciting, especially if KONAMI goes for more realistic camera options which show the crowd ingame... which you can vote for over here: http://forums.pesfan.com/showthread.php?t=220456
These realistic camera angles would make the crowds visible for most of the game, like on TV.

PS - Crowd animations do NOT cause online lag, because this data is not transmitted online. It is only for your PC/console, as in all other sports games...
