Reborn Players

Replaced my team with reborn players- likes of Zidane, Keane, Stam, Rivaldo etc and from my only older reborn Shearer I'd say it seems harder (not sure of his set growth progress, hoping it's slow & long), after four seasons it reads:

Attack 78 - 86
Balance 82 - 92
Stamina 66 - 74
Total Speed 66 - 74
Accelaration 70 - 78
Response 82 - 91
Shot Accuracy 74 - 82
Shot Power 83 - 92
Shot Technique 76 - 84
Header 80 - 88
Jump 80 - 88
Technique 63 - 71
Team 73 - 81

Stats I'm not happy with - taking into consideration he's been in the starting line-up since 17, playing every game possible - starting and if not then a sub. And he hasn't been on a losing side. The stats not shown, i.e. short passing accuracy have only improved by 4/5.

So here's hoping he comes good aged 24 - 26.

I'll let you know how the new crop go.

with reborns it's all about dribble accuracy i find. If you can play the respawned players half a game every game they can, you can get some really good players, but if they have shockingly terrible dribble accuracy from the start, they're a bugger to play with and i tend not to use them.

Most respawned players on PES5 are pretty poor to begin with, but if you wanna get the most out of them in the older years, it's good to play them. I find that most respawned players go back to their former clubs, so they often develop okay that way, but for those that don't you have to sign em yaself and then either play them or sell them to a team to get match practice. (im still not 100% sure if they develop aswell for COM teams as they do for human teams), but i've just bought back bergkamp who i sold to Roma, he's 26 when i re-signed him and he's a bit of a beast. Still room for improvement, but he got alot of first team games whilst in Rome.

I also bought nedved when he first came back, and for his stats he is pretty awesome. Apart from his speed and dribble accuracy, he does everything AS IF he has 90+ stats. He's about 23 years old now in my ML and he's reaching full 80's on most things. Scores alot of 40+ meter free-kicks using the lay off technique.

So yeh anyway, i reckon it's probably best to play the developing players as much as you can stand them, but if not they will automatically get pretty good anyway. i reckon pes5 developing players is better than pes4, cos you had to play them to get em developed, now you can let the computer do the work.

Sorry for rambling on, am pretty bored... i've basically said nothing here.

iam now in 2020 and my first line up is :

Schmichel - Maldini - Ferdinand - R.Carlos - Belleti - Xavi - Mancini - Marcelinho - Totti - Romario - Shevchenko

trust my its all depinding on the growth line .. Shevchenko now is 21 old and his on FIRE he got a lot of 85-88 abilitys

also Henry is 21 old but he is not that good yet .. because if you look it there growth lines you will see Shevchenko is better than henry until 23 but after 23 henry will go higher than sheva
and henry growth line going up until 32 and sheva stop in 30

at last allways try to play with players have a good growth line (( higher than 85 )) to see a good devolping

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

bob_bask : if you want my advice dont bother your self with keane & zidane & stam ... they are not that good

try maldini & romario & rivaldo & bergkamp

i wouldn't say its ALL about the developement curve. I've had reborn Nedved for a few seasons and his growth line supposedly peaks at about 85 (i can't remember exactly), but already i prefer to play him in center/attacking midfield over Lampard, who admittedly is about to die, but his stats are all still far better than Nedveds. Some players just have that special quality, they just have better touches, better shots, better movement etc from the moment they were reborn. The stats just add to it.

for instance i'd rather lay it off to Nedved outside the box than have a shot with Rooney, even though i've had rooney since Day 1 of the ML and he's now off the graph in developing. Attack 99 shot acc 99 shot tech 99 shot power 99, technique 99... pretty muchg everything 99,98 or 97. Only 2 or 3 stats under 97. And i'd lay it off purely because nedved has for some reason the ability to hit beautifyl first time shots into corners, even with stats just reaching 80s

i know what you mean adams .... when i bought Shaw (( the left midfelder )) he was THE BEST EVER with the free kicks but now when he develop and reach the 99 AREA (( when all his ability became 99 )) he cant score 19m fouls

in my team nedved reach the 99 area and his now not that good like when he was in the 85-88 area

players like this dont make you enjoy the matchs But they make you %100 satsfied with the results :)

I had bought Shaw aswell. Short, coloured winger, English? I sold him pretty soon after getting him, am planning on checking his stats soon and seeing if he's worth buying back. He was just a bit too weak and obviously not very fast as he had only just respawned. Plus i had huge name signings that needed to play instead of him. So he gets to 99??, intruiging, might have to sign him back soon.

And i know what you mean about not being able to score close range direct free-kicks with 99,99,99,99 players, Rooney just hits em too hard. That's why i mostly lay it off to him, or adriano.. depending on which foot is needed. 9 times out of 10 you just bash it into the side of the goal. Goalie doesnt even attempt to save em.

I am going to sign stam, thuram and cannavaro soon as they retired and was wondering what they turn out like,I love to have huge central defenders as they always win the high balls fom the back and are a great advantage for corners+i had em in pes4 and they were unreal

was sifting through the official pes5 book guide yesterday, and (re-) read about the special ability stars.. maybe nedved has the 1-thouch star as this seems to decide the skill to beautifully first time your shot!? (not the pass)?

dunno -

adams : my shaw is 25 years old and he have a bloody abilitys (( at least 95 )) except his defeance and head and jump abillitys

trust my he is one of the best .. if you played before with george best shaw is allmost like him in his style (( amazing dribbiling .. great through ball .. and the BEST FK )) by the way his FK style is the same style as Rivaldo

Patrick : all of them is not that good but if you really like them you can make them something with the hard work .. if you ask my about the best of them i will say (( thuram )) but stam is a great header scorer

if you want some giants in your defence dont look any where else just sign ferdinand & maldini .... maldini need 5-6 years to be the best

yup,. i got maldini aswell when he respawned. Developing defenders is quite easy cos you just let them sit back and soak up the experience points. His stamina was a bit of an issue. when he first came, but now he's 4-5 seasons in, he's getting to be one of my best players.

And cheers skull on the recommendation of Shaw, i need a good SMF that can play nice through balls down the line, or through the middle for that matter. Will have a look for where i sold him to when i next play.

I have nothing against the bloke, its just that stupid sentance he made. Its like saying: 'Henry is a class player, scores all the time, but doesnt defend much'.

How do you lay off the ball with a free-kick? (like in PES4)

you hold down L2 for a few seconds and they line up in the lay off position. Then you press L1+ X to lay it off. Then you can shoot, pass, chip etc. It's pretty useful if the ball is 19-22 meters out.

Thanks, I always scored loads of goals with the lay off in PES4 but didn't knew how to perform the lay off in PES 5
