Just a quickie

Been browsing forums for a while and haven't seen this and was interested.

Does anyone know how often or when specifically the youth team updates? I've had level 5 youth team and level 5 coach for a season now and seen no improvement across players, with the best player being Oscar apparently...

Also, does your overall team ranking factor in to this? As I started with Team L which I edited, so started pretty much bottom rung. Been almost impossible for me to sign good players, and I've just started 2012-13

Only reason I ask is because I've read stories about people picking up players in youth teams with ratings of 80+, so wanted to take advantage of this whilst I could hardly sign a player with a rating of 75 outside of my squad. Somehow managed to sign Robben and Marcelo last year, amazing on the flanks, they both got transfer listed on my game.

Every summer. You still may or may not get anybody really good, though, as it's populated randomly. The YT level increases the average quality somewhat, but boosts your chances of encountering a very high-level youth. You still have to promote and train them for them to grow.

The youth players wont really improve while in the youth team, they will a tad... but nothing worth noting. Do what Molo says above me, sign the youth players each season, if they don't cut it then you simply don't renew their contract at the end of the season.

I sign all my youth team each season... so that I have a fresh batch of 10 new youngsters every season. Usually I'll sign the youth players I want during pre-season, then sign the youth players I don't want to keep in January and get rid of them at the end of the season.

Stick at it, you may get a load of crap players for the first few seasons, but eventually you'll get good players coming through... and it's great when you do! :)

Yeah I've been picking up a few each year, shimizu and palmieri have become the mutts nutts for my team, and kim jeoul yung or whatever his name is is slowly becoming a gem. Most the other youth guys I've picked up I've thrown out on loan in the past season.

Anyone know how far Destro develops by the way? Picked him up on a free and his rating is up to 71 so far

wow!! quite interesting..u sign all youth player to get all new youth player:w00t mby i should try..;) but now i now in seasons 2028-2029. (with The Potteries) still have great team...n i now lowest my youth team. bcause i dont want any youth player inside my team.. in 3-5 years. yesterday my great buying from real is c.ronaldo with 25M,17 age.76 ratting. n still have a lot of star player inside my team like: reyes, calve, alex, agger, hatienga, van der vart, hamsik, c.ronaldo, salihamizid, eto and baros.:happy:

Yea, I only use my youth team players, my team is 100% youth team products. Like I said, I sign all 10 players, take note of who I want to keep/try out and get rid of the rest at the end of the season. Makes room for more talent to come through next season :)

Sometimes also because the youth players will disappear from your youth academy once they reach 21. If I have 4-5 crap 20 yr olds come into my academy that season, I'll not bother signing them, just leave them in the academy and let them leave at the end of the season.

owh...they will disappear when reach 21..
no w my youth level i decrease to level 2. because before this i sign player from youth that now 28 years old and all points are 99. with ratting 105. i feel the game change. so, i try not to sign they more. now 4 youth player in my team Michel, Vandenboshe, Antonelli and Matei. they all great. now i just want to sing a star player that their name will be say by Mark when playing.
