I started playing PES with Pro Evolution Soccer 3 on the Playstation 2.
I hope Konami will regain the throne of the virtual football simulations on the next-gen consoles like it was on the PS2.
PES is still the game I am waiting for every year. For me the offline Master League was and is the Heart of the Game!
What I like about PES 2014 and i hope to see again in PES 2015:
- manage a national team in the ML
- change the club in the ML
- alternate/third kit for every team
- that players are influenced by the home atmosphere (I hope it’s true)
- possibility to control the upper body with the right stick for more realistic tackles
Some features I am missing in the ML and I would like to see in PES 2015.
1 to 8 are regarding the Master League. It should not be very difficult to include these aspects in the game. 9 to 19 are regarding the game for better overall game feeling.
1. please remove at first the reincarnations of retired players. Nobody wants to play with Junior Puyol or Zanetti.
it is one of the worst aspects in the PES Series. Fantasy names and random faces for youth players with the possibility to rename would be much better. The game would be much more playful after some seasons without overrated Gerrards and Del Pieros in the age of 16.
2. please add a second division to every country or a league creator.
in PES 2014 you only have one second division in the league you start in with your team. With the brilliant new feature to change teams after a season in ML it would be nice to have a 2nd division in every league, so you don’t have to play against the same teams all the time. It would be a great option to choose a team of a second division to lead them to championship and CL. If you don’t get the licenses you could add fantasy teams, so the editing community can do the rest. We are just missing the possibility.
3. please re-add the feature to improve players of your team with teaching them players index cards.
I liked also to equip the players with shoes. Generally, more training options in ML would be nice.
4. please re-add the feature that you can look at the halftime results of the other games in your league when you have halftime.
it was very thrilling in the end of a season to look what your rivals are doing.
5. please re-add the feature to flashback past seasons.
in the last PES games it was possible to look at the stats (goals, assists, average grades…) of your players and of the team results of past seasons. It was a very good feature if you played some more seasons. It would be nice to have a general information view of past champions, best players of the past seasons etc.
6. please add more trade und contract options.
for example a buyer’s option for loaned players.
7. please add more scouting possibilities or/and more player information.
it would be nice to know the average grades of every player and not only of the players of your team.also of past seasons (look at 5).
8. possibility of changing kits in Master League. Kits should be editable at the end of a season. Templates for kits and sponsors would be useful.
9. where is the stadium editor???:crymore:
if you cannot get the licenses for the stadiums from EA it is okay. But give us please at least the possibility to create every stadium.
10. add the possibility to link/save somehow the chants to the teams.
it is the most annoying thing to re-assign the chants after every new update/patch. You could integrate a faster option, so that you can assign at least all of the general chants (5-10) at the same time.
11. please add more weather options. Snow and rain would be great.
12. more individual player customization.
there are so many players with tattoos out there (de rossis calf tattoo, mandzukics arm tattoo). The NBA 2k Series is an amazing example of what is possible today.
13. after one season in the ML the difficulty superstar is too easy.
even with not so good players you win almost every game. Then you have to simulate to get a realistic result with some lost games.
14. better goalkeepers
15. better referees
improving the advantage clauses and include the “the passive offside rule”. When a player falls down because of upper body contact (right stick) it's always a foul. Even if a big player like Toure tackles a small player like Giovinco.
16. more powerful/better long-distance shots/less effective free kicks
17. more licences, if possible. If not, more editing slots.
18. bring back the team chemistry view to the formation menu (colored lines between the players based on the teamwork stats).
19. bring back the direction-arrows you could once assign to the players in the formation menu.
