People, I have played Fifa 12, Pes 2012 v1.03 and not the PES demo.

I must say the demo is so much fun, all Konami needs to do this! Ad precision dribble, get players off rails, formulate a new control scheme for skill moves(fifa style) and fix commentary, pump up the atmosphere a bit, put in some more animations. Boom PES 2013. Also just copy fifa's shooting. I have solved it in one post! Ohh and bring back the tactic set up of 2011

I was blown away last night when I placed shooting on manual in FIFA how far off you can shoot - I was placing the ball to the left or right the same distance as the goal opening.

My first FIFA experience also surprised me how two game developers can be that different with the same game.

I remember playing with manual shooting, it was so fun. You could even shoot towards your own goal! This is one of the reasons FIFA offer more freedom than PES, who have very limited freedom.

There are much better games which are worth playing than FIFA or PES but the reason I find FIFA so exciting is it's Ultimate team which is just a blast. Playing against the CPU feels predetermined and quite bleak and boring mainly because it feels like the same match over and over again

I was just about add that PES need to add the freedom element to the player your controlling.

I am an old timer however, I only play with real lineups....if I play as Man U or Arsenal, I want those lineups not some weird alchemy. So I don't mix or match. I am so hardlined that I won't play with a player in real life that is lost for the season (e.g., Vidic) until this season is over.

btw, it could be me or the game but I could have sworn in FIFA that the away team kicked off to start the game. What's up with that?

Yeah it happens all the time and I guess it is quite random which I have no idea why EA did that in the first place. EA will probably never fix it as noone bothers mentioning it
