Remove optionfile before installing newcoming DLC?

I've read that downloading DLC:s with the optionfile implemented before affects the gameplay negatively. I removed the optionfile and the previous DLCs from my game, and re installed the DLC first and then after applied the optionfile onto that. The game was different, much better, more fluid. There is a thread about this somewhere at Winningelevenblog. That the optionfile possibly causes some sort of bug.

Anyone with better insight?

I believe that post actually suggest that large OFs just kinda break the game regardless of when or how you download them, I dont know if thats true but thats what many suggest.

Is that just because Option Files usual come with their own player stats rather than following the original Konami stats?

Anyway, I don't use DLCs from Konami. I always wait for PESedit to incorporate whatever updates the DLC added into their patches and just use that instead.

Ill be honest im not sure (no one else seems to be either) but people have reported a noticeable difference in terms of sluggish response times, slower gameplay and more quirks and bugs etc. I think one theory is the amount of extra content the game is having to load externally and process at the same time... like I say thats all conjecture though.
