retired players keep getting aqired in master league!

Hey i re started master league after buying all the retired players (eusebio, puskas etc) and i put the option to the AI buying retired players to no. However, real madrid and other teams keep buying people like Yashin and there impossible to play against. How can i change this? i sort of want to un buy my retired players but wuld this mean erasing my option file?! i dont want to do that. This has also happened to my mate who bought sum players said no to aquiring retired players but they still did.

Why you want that? It's not fair the other teams not to buy retired and you do. play a ML with the setting to off and another with the setting to yes. unless you want to win all the time. I think that there is nothing you can do about this but I'm not 100% sure.
but in my opinion you should let the other teams buy also retired. it's more fun and you can buy them without any transfer point with a free transfer.

Yea the thing is i dont buy the retired players. I dont want anyone to buy the retired players. I want it to be as realistic as possible in the present time so you can buy players who play now but not who played 50 years ago. Anyone have any suggestions on how i can prevent everyone buying retired players. Previous post said hes quite sure you cannot do this. Anyone else?

By saying "you can't do this" I meant that you can't be the only one who will buy retired players. If you want nobody to buy retired just set the AI to no. that's what I did and worked fine. no retired in the game even thought I have unlocked them all

it doesn't work. ive done what you said twice and my mate also twice yet the com still manages to buy retired players for example leeds have now bought jemmings and real madrid have bought yashin.

perhaps it's some kind of bug. Do you play a patched version or the original game?

on my game, ML teams don't buy retired players from classic teams but they do buy the retired players I bought from the PESshop. For example, Atletico Madrid bought Dunga. That's when the retired players transfer option is set to "No".

Happens to me, I set it to No and the players are still available. But I don't see other teams really buying them. I bought Junior Santos tho thinking he was just a regular player not knowing all the other retired stars were there. I try to sell him tho because I don't want these players but no one will buy him off me, despite how good he is.

It's only happened to one or two teams in my game.

The only team in my division is Galatasaray, who have acquired Stoichkov.

OK, to clarify:

There are two sets of "retired" players in the game: those who play for Classic Teams (namely Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Netherlands, and Germany), and those who are individually bought from the PES-Shop for 150 points each.

The "COM Acquire Retired Players" option only refers to the first set of players - the game deems "retired" as "Classic Team Player," thus meaning that Jardel, Palermo and co. are still available to be bought freely by anyone in ML mode.

That's why they buy retired players. Admittedly, not all of the players in this section are retired, such as Jardel and Palermo mentioned above - though many are, such as Dunga, Deschamps and Stoichkov.

Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it.

In summary:

COM Acquire Retired Players = Off: Classic Players Available = No, PES-Shop Players Available = Yes.

COM Acquire Retired Players = On: Classic Players Available = Yes, PES-Shop Players Available = Yes.

Simple, really.
