I just played a game against the CPU in league mode on top player that had no less than EIGHT red cards. ALL of them were straight red. My team had three players sent off, the opposition had five. So the game was forfeited and I won. The previous game I played had two red cards one for each side. Isn't this just a bit ridiculous? I seem to be averaging a red card almost every other game, and I'd say the opposition is getting them more than I. That's not even mentioning the ridiculous amount of yellow cards averaged per game.
It is virtually impossible to do a sliding tackle unless you are well ahead of the ball/player and in perfect position without getting at least a yellow card. If the tackle is made near your own penalty area, even if I clearly get the ball first with the tackle made to the side (not from behind), about 40% of the time I will get a straight red, even with clearly one or two player back (no professional foul).
Anyone else have issues with this? It majorly reduces the enjoyment of the game. It's also very easy to have the opposition sent off, just a small trick and burst of pace and it's a slightly mistimed sliding tackle with a straight red to follow. Most of these 'red card' challenges would be a free kick at best irl, some ought even be play on, especially in the England League.
Konami should at least have the option in game to tune down the refereeing if it's going to be this bad. I presume there's no user files out there that can edit the game to tone it down?
