I have to agree with nifty here.
Hey, there's nothing wrong with editing, but why the f u c k would you want to edit yourself over star players? If Raul has a blinding turning ability then just play as Raul. Dundons with a great turning ability is just sad. Use the editor to make the game more realistic - its worth it i can tell you, as i have spent many hours getting the game the way i want it ( i believe nifty also spends more time editing than playing so dont doubt his credentials).
P.S. Some of you guys, please read a few books, it might help you post in comprehendable English in future.

Dundons, I think you have a good idea, and I've contemplated it before, it's just robbing Raul of 2 abilities he really needs. (Turn and ring kiss.) I just stuck myself over a PES United player and made my stats relative to how I play against the lads in real life. So, I'm good in some areas but piss poor in others. I think it's fair to put yourself in to at least compare up to the top strikers/midfielders/defenders, otherwise you wouldn't want to give yourself a game would you?

D'you know what Dundons? You've infected me, I have stolen Raul's slot. My mates will be thrilled to bits now I have an extra move in my arsenal. I was in disagreeance at first, but I sat and thought long and hard for about 4 seconds, fuck it, I'm having it. Cos when I score in the real world, and on PES against my mates, I kiss my hand. Always have, don't know why (probably cos I only have to move my arm, rather than jump up and run about. Lazy fucker, me).

I just read this thread again, and that was some harsh shit back there. Very cynical. I think a few people missed your point, but you set yourself up for punishment Dundons.
Realism is cool, but it is just a game, it is a fantasy world, where you can live the dream of playing for your team and being the star player, is it such a big deal that people want their own image in the game? I think not. When you start whacking everything up to 99, then it's shit. Me and my mates did a system like the youth player thing. Where you got points for doing certain things in real games. Took fookin ages though. This proves what you are good at in the real world, and therefore makes it more "realistic".
And you can always put Raul back in over an unused Spanish player. I justify robbing his move because I can actually do it. And I was doing that celebration back in school before Raul was even playing pro footy. (Makes me feel old, but he's only young isn't he)
