Eventually you go broke and the only way to rectify the issue is to skip matches. Because your win ratio is higher when you skip matches.

Basecopy the Legends into your ML Youth Squad.
Promote them to the first team, Transfer List the players but tick the "Open to Reasonable Offers" - this vastly increases the transfer value than if you merely Transfer List them.
Rake in couple of hundred million, that should set you on your way!
