Something I liked ... Used to own a game called UEFA Champions League, to give an idea how old it was, Boa Morte was at Arsenal, but it was still good, kind of like PES but ... not as good!

Anyway, something it had, along side classic teams, which I know are already and have been debated, was a scenario mode. Using these teams, or modern teams, maybe there should be some kind of scenario mode ... Such as ...

England - Greece 2002 World Cup Qualifying

Can you score the free kick, if not score in the following added minutes?

or, .....

Arsenal - Chelsea second leg

Can you win this match, go on and defeat monaco and porto to claim the one trophy missing from the cabinet at highbury, or take chelsea on to glory ...

They could be minutes, to leagues long, and offer pes points for completion! okay, it's stealing an idea, but it's a good idea ...

Well technically my mate.. they wouldn't be stealing the idea.. you see konami done International Superstar Soccer way before your champions league game.. and in that game of ISS was a game mode called Scenario's .. England are 2-1 down to Denmark can you rescue a win with ten minutes to go.. its been done .. it'd be a great addition to PES.

Exactly.

KCEO has already done it for the ISS games (the ones that were traditionally on Nintendo consoles).

But why can't KCET (the team behind PES) get this scenario mode and put into the PES games?

KCEO and KCET are both divisions of Konami. So I can't see how it's not possible to put modes from affiliate games into other similiar games.

I posted aaaaages ago over on evo-web (and maybe even here too) about this.

I used to love the scenario modes on ISS Deluxe on the SNES, 1-0 up with 30 mins to go and you`ve had a man sent off. Your England and Holland are piling on the pressure, can you hang on....!?

I really hope they use some common sense and add it back in.

Is there nowhere we could setup a petition or poll and email to Konami suggestions or something?

Yeah I loved that mode on the old Champions League game thou am sure one of the matches was so hard to complete think u had to come back from 3nil down with only 20mins remaining!!

Very clever idea and given the right scenarios being added, it could be enjoyable.

You could have Bayern Munich v Man Utd Champions League final, England v W Germany world cup final and even Arsenal v Liverpool the FA Cup final, plenty of historic matches to use.

A senario definately worth having is England vs Argentina in the world cup semi-final, how would argentina be able to cope without maradonas hand of God.

I think you'd only have real classic matches, all the last gasp matches we've seen when a team has done something spectacular to win the match.

Liverpool v AC Milan CL FINAL 2005, you have all of the 2nd half to win the match or take i to penaltys,

Tottenham v Man United PL 2001/02, come back from 3nil down to win!

Looks good but there officail league matches wouldnt u have to have a official sponser aka Champions league or Premier League rights!!

Think if this idea came about u had to buy the scenarios from the PES shop!! or even when u finish the scenario you can unlock the team you win with like manchester united 99'

All great ideas guys. But Konami simply won't implement this.

The scenario mode already exists in ISS. It would be a conflict of interest if Konami were to put the same mode in their PES games.

And to the people who would like this new mode in the next PES game, Konami will simply say; go and buy ISS.

Is ISS out on the current batch of consoles? ie. PS2, Xbox?

As far as I was aware PES was the continuation of ISS from the SNES, PSX etc.....

Not if you called it something else!! Like relive History matches! ISS isnt around anymore is it!! anyway I think it should be done.

used to love the scenario mode konami use to put in its older footie games. why they took it out i'll never know.
