I was pratting about last night, trying to master the art of long shots, and I can pretty much score from anywhere inside the opponents half.

One rather funkey move that I picked up, was a move that if done correctly, you will score pretty much everytime. Im not sure if it has been mentioned before, if so, then I apologize.

I used England for this trick, as Beckham has better curl than most other wingers. If you wanna practice this move, I'd suggest using 1 level star when beginning, so the opponents hassle you less. Or alternatively, go on training mode.

Get the ball with Beckham, take him into your own half and about 3-4 metres in from the sideline. Charge down the wing, you will see on the map that the keeper sits at the front of his area, just waiting. As you burst over the half way line, hold <- and then hold :square: to about half way-3/4.

This will make Beckham hit a long shot, use a bit of curl, and you will actually shoot the ball sneakily around the side of the keeper. If he is at the front of his box, and you strike it well, it will go in. And this is about 50-60 metres from the goal :D

Its great fun to watch, my brother swore at me earlier, as I beat him 6-0, if pulled off correctly and when the Keeper is at the front of the box and not on his line, you will score everytime, cuts out all of the opponents players, as the ball just flies straight over there heads.

Let me know if any of you have managed to pull it off :)

i always do this when im desperate... hah
once i used england and i was in the 118th min and i tried a long shot and i scored and i won... with becks of course... tis is sort of cheating... (i feel tat it is)
try tat after a corner kick by an opponent, the keeper is much further from his goal line

That really works aswell, I didn't think it would. I scored twice with Beckham in one match using your tip. I scored from 54 and 56m. ;)

My friend got in a hump after I showed him that, ever since I have gotten better at long shots, it has just upped and improved my game.

He now calls me a cheater and branded me as a 'long shot' cheater and that I beat him 5-1 (were pretty equally before I got the hang of a few more tricks) because I cheated. Despite the fact that not one goal was scored further than 25 yards. 3 of which were in the penalty area and one was a mammoth Beckham special free kick from 33 yards.

The beauty of PES.

I have to admit that I haven't managed to do it yet and i've tried it for hours in training with beckham and carlos :( But I know you're right cause the keeper is totally of his line when you shoot from that distance! I've only hit the cross-bar a lot of times :(

I am also one of the guys who didn't manage to score a goal form distance.
Maybe I am doing something wrong?
I sprint with a midfielder over the half way line.. I press square, the gauge fills to half - 3/4...... and then...... nothing...... sometimes a few inces next to the goal.. sometimes the keeper can easily catch the ball.

Please help me, tonight my big rival will meet me in the monthly 'cousin challenge' (The Non-Emotionator vs The Agressor") ;-)

you, you need some curl, remember to hold the directional buttons in the opposite way to the goal when you shoot, and you dont need to use too much power, below half way will do it, as the ball gets a shit load of curl when it bounces on the ground.

Keep practicing.
