Scoring 1 on 1

So Pro They Go Whoa

anyone have any tips for scoring 1 on 1? Playing Copa Libertadores with Internacional on Pro difficulty I don't think I managed to score a 1 on 1. Either a RT shot or normal shot was always saved or wide of the mark. Maybe I should go back into training and learn to go past the keeper?

I am playing master league with AS Roma and it's my first season and I never miss 1on1 with keeper....I figured out that a strong shot is rarely saved, even for Handanovic (who is one of ,if not, the best goalkeeper in PES)

I only scored one 1on1 goal in 11 matches of ML, you mean you never
missed 1on1 with any goalies, you must be a PES genius, so you have a
consistent method putting away all 1on1s, would you mind telling me the secrets and tricks on how to beat keepers in different 1on1 situations?

Thanks

It is not hard to score when you learn the trick behind it, I rarely miss 1vs1 and often because of the bar :erm:

what I often do is, shot with low power and try to aim it to the bars, sometimes it is better to take the bar that is close to the keeper. If the keeper goes out lob it over him or run around him. And the most importent is shoot timing, dont shoot to late or early. If late it will touch the keeper and if early you are giving free time to the keeper.

I see your points there, especially the part about timing for the shot
should be what i need to improve on 1on1s.

Well it depends how good is your striker. Usually I shoot while in sprint mode so the player has the ball a little far from him. It will allow you to get a powerful shot that if it's smartly placed will get you a goal in most cases.
If the oppoent's GK is rather weak you should try the R2 special shooting, also works good.

Try using high speed turn feint just before you get to the keeper.

I am not good at feints and trickry moves, can do simple feint occationally, but in general I suck at it, I am either too nervous to get
the button combination and timing right, or lose my grip, mess up with what moves I should make afterwards, or interfered, distracted by AI players around me.

I should practise feint and trickry moves more to further my gaming skills, this is gonna be damn hard for me, but for playing well against
my friends and COM(feint nearly useless IMO on topplayer LV), also
for adapting to the more challenging PES games, I do not have much
choice there except for practise more, make more effort to keep up with
the trend.

It's all about angles. If you are coming in from the left with a right footed player, open your body slightly before you shoot , this makes it possible to place your shots in the corner. Works like a charm, been using it since PES 3.

Or hone your manual shooting skills, it may take a while but it will pay dividends in the future.
