Scripting in PES 2010

Well, I asked this question twice in other threads but I got absolutly no answer! :shocking:

I don't have the game yet (I live in Canada) and I would like to know whether you have seen scripting in PES 2010.

Is it still present?

Have you noticed situations where you team seems to be much slower than the normal, your passes go nowhere and you just cannot score (even in clear situations)?

Or when the COM enters in a kind of "God mode" where they play perfect passes and they just score despite of all your efforts?

As you maybe noticed, in the demo, there is actually some times where the CPU enjoys some "God mode" as you describe.

I do not have the game as I also live in Canada, but I've seen some problems with first touches shots

I don't seem to be able to make clear first strikes; players always seem to take a control, which allows the keeper to come back and kill the angle, or the defender, and then shoot. Dam, I hope it's fixed in the final product? :)

Thanks Minou3!

I noticed as well in the demo. I remember that it was easier to notice the scripting during ML. I was just wondering whether it was more or less like PES 2009.

Anyway I am looking forward to getting the final product. :)

Sure thing!

How not getting that game? I think it is the best ever made.

By the way, I've managed to make a first touch strike goal with Craig Bellamy in the demo...

Not doing so bad, first win, and by win, I mean WIN! (4-0, ManCity-Arsenal)

From the we 10 demo, the scripting is much less. But I agree that scripting happened most in BAL and ML.

I haven't noticed any scripting. Halfway through my first Master League season as Dynamo Kyiv on Top Player. I replaced all the fake Team B teams in the D2 league with the real extra teams in Team A so I'm playing against teams like Zenit, Shakhtar, HJK Helsinki, FC Copenhagen, Spartak Moscow, etc.

Crappy teams play like crap. Even matched teams always give a good match. I have 12 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses.

I love the new defense AI, and although goalkeeper AI is still crap I've actually had several clean sheets in a row!

Playing against weak teams is incredibly boring due to lack of challenge.

^ I think the keepers are a little improved. Still some serious mistakes. (especially fc copenhagens keeper :))
I like the way they come out of the goal - not slow motion and sideways as in pes 09.

The keepers are better when they stay in their box, but they don't do that often. If a striker is charging, then the keeper sprints out as if he's on the 100 meter dash and leaves the goal wide open just like Bohush did in the recent Dynamo Kyiv vs Inter Milan match.

Sometimes they deflect into their own net.

And one time I witnessed the best own goal ever. An opponent back passes to the keeper, who passes it into his own net -_-

no no no. there is no 'scripting' as you call it in any football game, a big green magical ray doesn't come through the window and take the controller out of your hand, there have been times when i play my cousin and he seems 'invincible' it's called form, luck, coincidence or whatever you want but the computer is not 'cheating' as so many people keep saying. that's how video games work, that's how real life works. you aren't in control of everything all of the time, just grow up and learn to live with it

sorry but it just gets on my wingles

Erm?????????

Seabass himself admitted that there were momentum shifts programmed into the game. It was annoying in 2008 and 2009 becuse they were obvious and unsubtle. However in 2010 I haven't experienced it hardly at all. I can actually play many games in a row without wanting to kill myself or my Playstation.

A much welcomed return of a great game!

Mate, it's called rubberband AI and present in just about all racing games and most sports games. Look it up.

Programming hasn't progressed to the point where the AI can be challenging and intelligent without cheating.

shaun, i do agree that there is much less of it in 2010, but enough to piss me off.

sometimes your defenders stand still while the cpu opponent just runs right by them.
ugh, i'm so sick of this konami nonsense. they have so much potential but they refuse to listen.
