Yes, install the datapacks first from the statistics option(one of the icons in the left corner of the screen) on the main menu. This will avoid any installation issues if there was an option file already installed first. They should all download one by one after each other and install(It will take a long while as there is alot to download). Then, install your option file and make sure its an option file compatible with the latest datapack(think its 5.0)

Thank you for the help guys I have heard that the newest version I think is 5.0 doesn't work great with glen the magpies option file is their any where I can download the one before 5.0 because when I decline 5.0 I can't download the latest packs you mentioned in your post because I can't sign in

You want only the datapacks before 5.0? You can't choose which you download, they all get done together. I don't have a ps3, but I'm sure there is a folder for pes 2014 on your hard disk where the datapacks are stored. Just delete 5.0.

Not really sure what you mean, actually!

Gork you make me laugh, Thanks for the credit.

There is are weaknesses too using Advance Shot.

"First Time Shot" Is Disabled even if a player has it in his Skill Index plus not being able to execute Low-Shot with Triangle after Building the power bar.

Hi, I recommend the advanced shooting and through pass also set auto feint to off, that way you can do more tricks. Like shown here:
http://youtu.be/PHF049vvmdc

Sorry, don`t know about the thing with the data pack.

You don't have to go to youtube for that video its in the game.

Training Mode > Performance Training > Master Class > All The Videos Available There.

Thanks to The Legend Hoda, He made a fantastic Tutorial on the Advance Shot Option, you can watch it by clicking - here :wenger:

Whats you problem? You should compare the videos one is with auto feint, the other is with auto feint set to off and showing all tricks.

Hey brandy i did the same a few years ago i jumped ship on fifa12 and fifa 13 but came back to pes when i got bored of fifa13 n bought pes13 since then ive never looked back but i tell you one tip i took with me when i changed back to PES

Set all your buttons to fifa buttons Shoot ans circle slide tackle as circle , then set sprint to R2 and deft touch dribble to L2 then manual of course will go as R1 this way you will never get confused with the transition of switching games and tbh its alot more comfortable using fifa buttons anyway in my opinion having both sprint and close control dribble on R1 and R2 is a handache.

in support settings i have my shoot to basic pass assist is 3 bars i used to play on 2 bars but i make silly mistakes and 1 mistake in a high tempo master league online match will cost you dearly, also You can play with "auto-feint: on" but it limits each individual player to what they have in there skills index some players have no skills atall and you wont be able to manually force players to try and pull off a trick so in my opinion having its set to "off" is alot better because if you know the skill command in your head off by heart then you can try pull it off with any player you want sometimes they do the skill but dont execute it perfectly ive found sometimes a scruffy execution does wonders and i get away with it xD but the biggest tip i can give you is the button config just changed the buttons to fifa and youll most likely fall in love with the game also remember PES is a simulation it takes awhile to get used to, give it time mess about in training mode against a couple of defenders and remember to use the R-Stick to jostle players off the ball or protect the ball while you dribble

Hope this helps

Kind Regards PEStyles :wenger:

Thankyou PEStyles for all you help will give all your input ago tomorrow and hopefully it clicks all together, the other problem is the auto switching it takes a age to switch players and I have the curser settings on auto but I am always pressing L1 to switch players to tackle the nearest player on the ball another thing that I am use to on FIFA where it automatically switches players and what camera angle have you guys set on ?
Sorry for all the questions guys

MY camera is set to Wide with zoom all the way out to the maximum and the angle is on 7, I never use full auto switch its too computerized for me and i dont feel incontrol of what player i want becausealot of the time if your on the back foot the best thing todo is manually select a centre back and use him as a sweeper while you double tap Square for the computer to doubleteam press the opponent and you stand close guarding the gaps for the ball to get knocked out of the players feet.

DO people actually put the passing mode to 0 bars.

i just left it at 2 bars (the default mode).

and both passing/shooting advanced..

I never tried the other cams beside the default one, any recs on which was is the best..

I really should read the manual.

I do. I really recommend full manual, if you want total realism. None of those unreasonably powerful ground passes will magnetically find their target's feet. 180 degree passes won't find their target either. Ping Pong passing will be impossible. (these are the 3 things I'll never accept as realistic).

On the other hand, the range of control on manual passing is beautiful.

Also, with manual shooting your shooting angles are much more organic, although at times you will miss chances. But I'm ok with that. If you're buildup plays are good enough, you should be able to create chances with enough time and space to measure and execute your shot anyway. Makes sense that we mess up our shots while under pressure (physical or psychological likewise).

What would you say is more difficult shooting wise? advance or manual?

I will try 0 bars soon. However, i feel after the new patch, even with the default settings on passing, the balls dont connect on those scenarios you mentioned... Prior to the most recent patch, I would agree though...

Question about game speed. does it make the players move faster? Sprint faster?

I wouldnt recommend advance shot online because there is a small delay in the shooting for you to aim your shot and in panic shots in the 18/6yard box say when its scrambling from a corner you end up hitting the post all the time or completely missing the target when its a simple tap in, but in offline mode its seriously fun! game speed does what it says it just boosts the games speed value nothing todo with faster running or anything the ball and players move quicker but does not change it by there attribute values.

as for cameras ive always used wide cam zoom fully out and the angle on 7 and default passing setting 2

I've almost broke my tv from chucking my ps3 controller because of all the shots I can never get off in advance (tap ins and in the box, closely market). Does manual allow these shots better?

Also, When I do some crosses in the box, sometimes the players would hit shot that hit the sideline, rather than forward......

maybe I finally get the whole sprinting concept...

Okay so advance shot is basically like this,

If you start a match as the home team you start attacking the right hand side goal end what you need to remember is the analog stick is represented by the players left hand side or right hand side therefor with the play facing the goal " this way -> " Up represents his left hand side and Down represents his right hand side so what you have todo is imagine your actually in the game yourself when you aim your shots the top left corner it would mean you aim your stick Up/Right(diagonally) and top right means you aim it Down/Right(diagonally).

What you should do to master advance shot is goto training mode and set your camera to Vertical ( following tailing camera behind your player like in Legend Mode ) this way you will truly understand how to use advance shot.

Full Manual is advance shot without the delay for the aimer meaning you pull off all your shots the same speed as basic shot but with less time to aim and also no aiming cursor on the goalso you can imagine the pros and cons with that you wont exactly get frustrated with the delay in the shots you try ( in the box / tap in ect ) but less time to aim and holding down the direction you want to aim your shot will send you shot to the corner flag or something so if you really want to just shoot and have a better chance of putting it in the back of the net without too much stress just stick to basic and learn how to bury shots with that setting. R2 ( Close control / Finesse Shots ) are my new love in the new patch as of before it was just feeble and not affective atall, now you can hit finesse from outside the box and they are so affective from the wings including inside the box they go in nearly all the time with good aim and a nice angle, one last thing is in PES people misunderstand the aiming concept advance shot should open your eyes to how shooting actually works in PES what you need todo regardless of what setting you put your shooting to is you always aim after you insert the power never hold the direction you want to aim the shot and then put the power in try letting go of all direction press shoot and then push the stick where you want the shot togo to in laymans terms.

Shoot then Aim. not Aim and Shoot

Hope this helps
