Shooting (problems)

Ok

Has anybody managed to get a grip of the shooting yet. I know the first few weeks it normally seems a lot harder to score , but this is really beginning to bug me.

My mate has had pes6 on the ps2 for a wee while now & i had WE10 as well . The shooting on the 360 seems completely different from both these games.

Things that would fly into the net on the ps2 either limply find there way into the keepers hand or end up in row z

The only time i manage to score from outside the area is if its Ronaldinho or Ballack hitting the shot & even then most of the time with them its nowhere near going in

Pretty much all my goals have cam from the following , Corners , rounding the keeper , one on ones where i manage to slide the ball round/through the keeper . Scoring with a shot with any power on it is something ive yet to see.

I swear sometimes i think my LB is jammed in . It would seem that anything more that a quarter of the power bar = straight over the bar and anything less is normally as soft as a new born babys shite

The controlled shot button doesnt help either , just takes even more power off of the shots.

Im ready for throwing the 360 out of the window with the amount of ranked games ive lost to shitty goals where ive dominated start to finish had about 15 more shots on goal than my opponent , many of which are easier to score than miss , and well you get the picture .

So whats the problem here , should i aboid shooting while holding dash , should i shoot with the power bar really high for a powerful shot or will this just go further over , should i hold back when i shoot etc etc etc

Is anybody else finding the shooting as problematic as me ??????????

HELP !!!!!

HELP !!!!!

I can't help you, but I'm having the same problem.

I played a ranked game yesterday, had 30 shots of which only 2 were on target.

I've played others online who have also been blasting all their shots over the bar.

I've tried looking through the settings on pro evo to see if it's possible to change the sensitivity of the shoot button, but there isnt.

I seem to find the shooting more difficult when I'm online. You have to basically tap shoot, whereas in a normal offline two-player game you can give it a bit more welly. It's the same for free-kicks and corners. The lag makes it harder, I don't know if anyone else has noticed but it makes it almost impossible to get the angle you want in the replays as well. Gloating should be a lot easier.

I'm sure i've got the hang of it now. I'm not bad at shooting. It depends more on the position you are in etc. You have to just tap it sometimes, which is annoying. Also i think it depends on how you are aiming with the analog, or the d-pad depending on which one you use.

I've noticed that if you play the computer on regular or lower settings the shoot button is easier to use, but on higher settings or playing online, it's harder, just takes some getting used to I think.

jus play some player matches and get used 2 it b4 u jump into ranked games.i feel shpootin is fine even online, but ur right about angles on freekicks and replays, but u can still pretty much get a gd enuff angle.

i use the rt shot wen in the area in general,if u wana score some power shots i suggest gettin in sum practice with holland, replace cocu with van der vaart and ur entire midfield has the middle shoot ability

the thing about the shootin dynamics is that they are realistic!if u are thru on goal but there is a defender or two on u,meaning pressure, then u are likley to struggle finishing,if ur blastin them frm all ova the park with sum1 who doesnt have middle shoot then more than likley they will all be off target,if ur using sum1 with a crap left foot but the only angle available is to use left then u have to make adjustments to the powr and angle to have the best chance of scoring, same 4 tight angles.

jus think, wud he score this in real life, where wud he place it,and try do the same!

I didnt read any posts in this thread, but im enjoying the new shooting system...

took time getting used to, but I've almost got the hang of it, some shots still fly into row Z as I haven't mastered it but I'm getting there.

Playing in proffessional mode, scored a load of goals in my ML season...

I've been reading the PES6 Guide book, and it gives some interesting tips on shooting.

Make sure your not hitting the RB button when your shooting or it'll chip the ball (over the bar most times).

Also think about the angle, if your facing away from goal then you'll only really get a decent shot it 90 degree either side of the player.

Shooting is piss easy on the 360. I have scored over 60 goals in my last 20 games online. All you have to do is a simple tap of the button when one on one with the gk. Its nearly a guarnteed goal. Also try shot fake at the goalie they go down well to easy and 7/10 times you will have an empty net to aim at

With some success i've tried shooting at goal - like when you take set pieces.
At a freekick, if you press the opposite direction from the direction that you are shooting, at the moment your player hits the ball - then you usually shoot low shots.
You can do that at regular shots too…

Let's say I play Barcalona from left to right.
With Messi on my right wing I attack the goal diagonally up-right. That's the position I hold the left stick in too when i start my shot (so I would now be aiming at the far post). When I release the shoot-button, I quickly press the left stick in the exact opposite direction (that would be down-left!). That way I have found out that far more of my shots keeps a fairly low trajectory.
Also when I have pressed the left stick i the opposite direction I'll rotatate it either up or down to add swerve/curl to the shot.

Hope it makes reason what I've written here...
