Should I be at all worried about updating team names and stuff?

With the data update coming in future, should I be concerned about it wiping my edits?

I would hate to spend hours doing all the team names, shirts and emblems only for the update to come and reset it all to default.

It is happening again
As far as I know, it'll only wipe any fake teams you've edited (eg if you've created Bundelsiga teams). Don't take my word for it though!

I own the game, but it's still in its wrapper. I'm not touching it until they update the squads.

This is purely based on previous years, but the only things the data pack will reset are squads & player nationalities.
