Dont you just think what pes 2010 would look like with the skills and tricks used in fifa!
the only reason fifa have a foot over pes is the skills and tricks that have implemented!- it is so creative and makes the game feel more of a rewarding then quick quiet run down the pitch!
watch video below.-- i am not saying implement all of them but about 5-10 of the good ones!

yeah, just yesterday i was playing my final game of the season in ML. i put all my big guns on so i could give the fans an entertaining match (Ronaldo, Kaka, Nani, Anderson, Silva, Tevez, Aguero, Rooney, Diego, Fabio, Rafael... good team, no?). The thing was, the only tricks i could really do was stepovers, 360 turn and flip flop. i know there are more but i havent practiced them. but still, there should be more that look good, because i have tried the other skills once or twice using the manual booklet but i could do them without using the 'trickstick'.

A trick stick for PES is a big NO NO in my opinion. Having played FIFA 09 I almost tore my hair out in regards to that aspect of the game. The main issues were that:

Every player could do them from Cristiano Ronaldo to Gary Nevielle which is unrealistic.

Also you needed a degree in origami because some of the inputs were rediculous.

I agree there should be more tricks in PES but the way they should be implemented should be with the shoulder buttons, face buttons in combination with the d-pad or analouge stick(for the roulette turn).

Tricks in football games should be instincitve but for me FIFA made a chore and too complex so you ended up almost having to think too much.

The tricks that were in PES such as flip flap can be done almost as a second thought which is what you want.

PLEASE LISTEN 2 ME AND OTHERS BELOW

Everyone critises PES tricks and skills because there is no variety, please include more tricks and footwork skills. Rather than having just uneffective stepovers, 360 spin ect. PES does not have to copy EA's FIFA but atleast get an idea and take a leaf out of their book. Dont get me wrong Im a big PES fan but things have to improve, and i think if Konami do that they will step up their game and take out FIFA 10.

One of the things I love/d in the FIFA series is Juggling skills and I think It should be implemented into the next PES, I just dont want PES to become TO much like FIFA because PES is its own unique game and as far as gameplay is concerned shouldn't be tampered with.

you mentioned uneffective stepovers, and i suddenly realised that they should be made better. if you look at top dribblers, ronaldo, messi, kaka, ronaldinho, etc, when they do stepovers, they make the defenders look like dodos and they lose their footing. they same thing should be done in PES, where currently the defender acts as though the player is dribbling at them casually. the player should do a quick stepover to make the defender lose his footing a bit, and then suddenly accelerate in the other direction of the defender.
if this is what you meant by uneffective stepovers, good call!

if by juggling you mean kick-ups, then i don't really agree. you don't even see ronaldo stopping the ball at his feet 20 mins into the game, chip the ball up and start doing kick-ups.
but i don't completely disagree. if you are winning 4-0 and the clock says 85:00, you are in no danger of losing and momentum is with your team. so, if the ball comes to ronaldo at chest height, he should use his chest to control the ball and before it hits the ground, press L2 + R1 (let's say) for ronaldo to do a couple of kick-ups whilst slowly moving in a desired direction. to know that full momentum is with your team and you are in no danger of losing or drawing the game, and you have a player with dribbling attributes over 93, a small signal should appear next to your players' names at the bottom, indicating to you that you can perform not only kick-ups, but other special skills, like attempting nutmegs.
let's hope KONAMI build something advanced like this anyway :)

I rented Fifa 08 from my library for the week, and I have to say, I just love being able to do these tricks, in match, and just in the Arena (or whatever it's called, the lobby place, ya know).

We need more tricks and an easier way of pulling them off in PES, like the trick stick.

I detest having to press start to look at the tricks list and that sort of thing, it gets waaaay to confusing.

Yeah i agree that not everyone should be able toto do them but thats why a variety should be created.
eg messi, kaka, ronaldihno and ronaldo and the other good players, should be able to do the really hard tricks and the rubbish players should have a limited number of easy tricks!
In training mode in ML there should be a mode where you can practice skills and then there should be a meter where it shows you get better and better at executing the skills and tricks

^^^^^ I think a meter of that sort would be great:w00t

And depending on what you did your skill level went up. Top Idea!
